Apple released Boot Camp Version 6 today which include official support for windows 10.
On of the main reason i love my Mac is its Multi Touch Trackpad. My Mid 2014 Retina Macbook pro with GT-750M does not have that "Force Touch Trackpad" And windows have no support for that gestures. but Windows 10 is now Officially have multiple desktop and support for Multitouch trackpads. Apple Trackpad is 100% ready for windows 10. but on Boot Camp 6 apple still not upgraded its trackpad driver !! that sucks!
Thank God there is alternative :)
Trackpad++ is the world's first and only alternate Windows® 7-10 driver for Apple® Multitouch and Force Touch trackpad devices found in Apple® Macbook® Retina / Pro / Air.
Trackpad++ is being developed by an author of the popular Power Plan Assistant software (the multiple award-winning tool, packed with unique Macbook-specific features).
~ Keep enjoying Your Mac even in Boot Camp! ~
Benefits of the Trackpad++ driver (vs. Boot Camp 6 stock trackpad driver):
2-, 3- and 4-finger gestures, such as pinch-to-zoom, back / forward, middle mouse button emulation, new Windows® 8 gestures and much more;
Dramatically improved 2-finger scrolling experience: Mac® OS X Mavericks-similar (accelerated / natural) scrolling model implemented;
Improved pointer ballistics (i.e. how the pointer speed depends on the finger speed; comes with 6 built-in optimal presets);
Mac® OS X-like 3-finger dragging and classic '2-fingers with click' dragging, option to increase the pointer speed when dragging;
User-customizable option to ignore the accidental trackpad input when typing, and many more useful tweaks / enhancements;
Trackpad++ Control Module for adjusting the trackpad settings (all of the possible settings put together conveniently - see screenshot);
Full, native support of Windows® 7 (32-bit / 64-bit), Windows® 8 / 8.1 (32-bit / 64-bit), and Windows® 10 (64-bit).
Supported Macbook Pro / Air generations with built-in classic Multitouch Trackpad: Macbook Pro (Mid-2009 to Mid-2014), Macbook Air (Late-2010 to Early-2015)
Supported models with a new Force Touch Trackpad: Macbook Pro 13" (Early-2015), Macbook 12" (Early-2015), Macbook Pro 15" (Mid-2015)
Trackpad++ is ONLY for the Macbook built-in trackpads! To learn about the new solution for Apple® wireless Magic Trackpad, please click on the banner:
Apple Magic Trackpad connected to a PC (or to a Mac running Windows via Boot Camp) supports only the basic 1-finger and 2-finger features, just enough to operate as 2-button mouse with a scroll wheel. Of course, Apple has limited the stock Magic Trackpad driver for Boot Camp on purpose, to emphasize how multitouch-friendly an OS X is. So, sadly for years there was no way to enjoy the rich multitouch capabilities of the Magic Trackpad in Windows. Extramagic is the long-awaited software solution that enables 3-finger and 4-finger gestures in Windows 7/8/10, as following:
3-finger dragging, 3-finger tap, 3-finger horizontal and vertical swipes.
4-finger tap, 4-finger horizontal and vertical swipes.
These Extramagic gestures are highly configurable. In fact, now you get more customizations in Windows than in OS X.
Why alternate trackpad driver for Windows 7 / 8 / 10?
A.: An Apple Multitouch Trackpad is the perfect device. And Mac OS X native driver is good. It unleashes almost all of the amazing trackpad capabilities. But the stock Windows driver provided by Apple for Boot Camp is, unfortunately, very far from being perfect. No support of 3+ finger gestures. No accelerated scrolling (yet the scrolling is too sensitive!). Dragging is just usable. And there is no vital option to ignore accidental input when typing. This is just an incomplete list of the issues every Boot Camp user is experiencing. So, the need of the better trackpad driver is obvious. In fact, if you are asking this question, i.e. "why?", you probably had never tried to use Windows on an Apple Macbook Retina / Pro / Air :)
