What is MEDIA PLANNING? What does MEDIA PLANNING mean? MEDIA PLANNING meaning & explanation

01:29
What is MEDIA PLANNING? What does MEDIA PLANNING mean? MEDIA PLANNING meaning & explanation. Media planning is generally outsourced to a media agency and entails sourcing and selecting optimal media platforms for a client's brand or product to use. The job of media planning is to determine the best combination of media to achieve the marketing campaign objectives. In the process of planning, the media planner needs to answer questions such as: How many of the audience can be reached through the various media? On which media (and ad vehicles) should the ads be placed? How frequent should the ads be placed? How much money should be spent in each medium? Choosing which media or type of advertising to use can be especially challenging for small firms with limited budgets and know-how. Large-market television and newspapers are often too expensive for a company that services only a small area (although local newspapers can be used). Magazines, unless local, usually cover too much territory to be cost-efficient for a small firm, although some national publications offer regional or city editions.

How to Simplify Strategic Planning

01:17
Identify Mission and Objectives. The mission statement should include a founding principle upon which the company was created, and remains the foundation for all that the company does. Do some Environmental Scanning. Essentially, the environmental scan includes an internal evaluation of the company, an analysis of the industry (including market trends), and evaluation of the competition. This step will allow you to see how your company measures up in the marketing place, and where improvement or focus is needed. Formulate a Strategy. There are many factors to consider in the formulation of your strategy, including: competitive position in the market; marketing budget; marketing strategies; public relations strategies (if pertinent for your industry; includes goodwill activities); distribution channels; sales process; brand strategy; pricing strategy; new product rollout; etc. Implement the Strategy. Plan your work and work your plan. Strategy implementation begins with a viable action plan. Implementation of the strategy would also include: Budget creation; Policies and procedures; Organizing the company's resources; Keeping staff on task. Evaluate and control. This includes: Measurement -- what and how to measure, benchmarks, and tracking; Desired Targets -- know what specific targets you are aiming to hit; Comparison -- compare your actual results to what was predicted or anticipated in the strategy; Adjustment -- adjust your action steps as necessary to ensure that all objectives and targets are met. Business Branding can mean so many different things for different businesses, depending on the size and business product and service offering. For the big companies that have big branding budgets, spending money on an ad that will grab the attention of your clients and even win an award is good, depending on what the motivation for the advertisement is, however small businesses and start-ups may not have the same branding motivation. That is why Strategic Business Branding Planning is important, regardless of whether you're a company of 60 or 6000. When aligning your brand it is easy to use the brand coverall strategy that ensures that one advertisement represents all the products an services that your business is about, however, there is a great danger in using this strategy. In this video, Matthew Koener shares his insights on why - Having a branding strategy for all the products and services your company is offering will set your company apart and ensure a competitive edge. - Having a branding strategy is more likely to ensure efficient tracking of the sales and response of products and services your company is offering - Having a brand strategy ensures that your business is not perceived to be reactionary to trends - A brand strategy ensures Business Brand Timelessness - Business Branding budgeting is important in ensuring that the branding process isn't compromised, should business expense surprises occur.

2015- Planner organization- Day Runner

11:23
What no filofax? Yea, thats right I choose not to use that brand. However I do find the Day Runner to be a very good planner. This year I got the day timer brand refills at Walmart. I also show you my pocket planner and my fauxdori that I made and use. I have always loved planners and have used many types and brands. I am not saying Filofax is bad at all. I like the too. I'm just saying not everyone has to have one. And just because I don't have one doesn't mean I'm not as addidicted to planners as the rest. How to build a charismatic brand?

Please watch: "Maximising Tribe Marketing" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bUFxlZdQ594 --~-- More from me: http://www.arnteriksen.com Behind-the-scenes: http://instagram.com/arnteriksen Topic; So why do you need to be aware of the GAP between Strategy and Creativity? The thing is, in most companies, there is a gulf, a gap between the marketers the right-brainers, and the thinkers, creatives, the left-brainers where one group don’t know what the other one is doing. But why is this important? For one it can make a brilliant strategy to fail when it counts the most, or it can doom a bold creative initiative before it gets launched and put you back to the planning stage. This is what is defined as the Brand Gap and what I’ll simplify in today’s Five Minute Friday session - the complexity of building a charismatic brand. 10 Steps to Brand & Social Media Marketing Success

19:17
Source: http://larrysnow.me/branding-and-social-media-marketing-success/ In my opinion these ten steps will help you achieve branding and social media marketing success. Pre-plan The pre-planning I'm talking about is what I consider your number one brand asset and that is your website. Your website is your hub with all social media channels as the spokes; your website must be more than just a brochure on the web; it has to be interactive; with resources -- articles, blogs, news items, a hook, etc. Your website is your rock, your anchor, your number one asset for your business. If you don't put the time, energy and yes money into creating, designing, and molding it into what you are all about and sharing valuable information with the community and market to the right people you are trying to reach, then you won't be found. Buy a domain name in your name regardless if you are going to use it (get one for kids too); Domain name should represent you and what you do -- you'll need to be creative as the dot com's are getting fewer and fewer. Step 1 Identify your brand -- your personality and values; what makes you different/unique? Who are you? What do you do? And Who Do you do it for? Be honest with yourself; look at yourself in the mirror and ask what I'm I all about? What are you passionate about? Fred McClimans -- the basis of a successful strategy has to reflect (and reinforce) the core drivers and values of the business. If you can identify who the business is, the value proposition it wants to deliver (the benefit a business brings to its customers, not just a product or service) then you have the foundation of a brand. Another perspective: be true to who you are. Step 2 Define your audience on social media -- where are they? (clients, business partners, etc). Do a search on various social networks to find your audience, customers. See what they are talking about -- can you be successful on those networks? Will they be interested in what you are sharing? Step 3 Set goals and expectations (sales leads, clients, customer service, networking); what is it that you want out of social media channels. What is your strategy? Joe Pulizzi -- social media strategy first starts with a content strategy. Create a compelling, consistent content initiative that answers problems (real or conceived) and position your organization as the go-to resource. Social, search and lead generation initiatives start with a content strategy first. Step 4 Identify which social media channels based on Step 2 to utilize to achieve your goals (not etched in stone as you may need to be flexible in re-acquiring an audience that might transition from Facebook to Twitter, to Google +) Step 5 Establish your brand on social media -- Why - Recruiters, Networking, Word of mouth marketing, global competition. How do you do that for Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube. Follow and comment on the top 10 -- 20 blogs, LinkedIn groups, forums, etc where your customers are at. Be consistent with your brand across all social media networks. Step 6 Find like-minded individuals, clients, competitors, etc on social media channels. Step 7 Engage in conversation -- be positive, ask questions; build trust in your brand; Jim Cole -- Be reliable. Reliable advice that delivers long-term benefits to a brand. Share valuable information -- information, analysis, etc.-- do a Twitter search for a particular subject or hashtag and Politely and respectfully respond to topics that you can share your knowledge Step 8 Manage your brand through social media tools such as Hootsuite, use Google alerts, Twitter search, Buffer app, IFTTT.Com; Monitor your brand through Google alerts, Mention, and social search -- such as Twitter, Google trends, Google blogs searches. Step 9 Market your products and services -- notice how this is step nine? Imagine walking up to someone at a cocktail party and having that person say -- hey how are ya? Do you want/need my EP services? Start the relationship first in Step 7 -- this takes time to cultivate! Step 10 Hone your process; tweak, as new social media channels are established you may need to establish your brand (Google +,Path, Foursquare, Yelp, Chime.in, Quora, Instagram) -- you will need to diversify your brand to several channels to gain maximum exposure -- but do so with a plan.

What is CUSTOMER-DEMAND PLANNING? What does CUSTOMER-DEMAND PLANNING mean?

What is CUSTOMER-DEMAND PLANNING? What does CUSTOMER-DEMAND PLANNING mean? CUSTOMER-DEMAND PLANNING meaning - CUSTOMER-DEMAND PLANNING definition - CUSTOMER-DEMAND PLANNING explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. SUBSCRIBE to our Google Earth flights channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6UuCPh7GrXznZi0Hz2YQnQ Customer Demand Planning (CDP) is a business-planning process that enables sales teams to develop demand forecasts as input to service-planning processes, production, inventory planning and revenue planning. CDP is an important aspect of managing value chains. Generally, the first step of CDP is to forecast product demand. A manager can plan resource deployment in accordance with the resulting forecasts. It's a bottom-up approach vs. top down planning. Associated risks with this method are: Low forecast accuracy and numbers of planners required. There are various software systems created by companies such as Dynasys, Avercast, Demand Solutions, RightChain TM, SAS System, Agentrics, Manugistics, Oracle, Petrolsoft Corporation (now Aspen Technology), StatSoft, ToolsGroup and GMDH Shell that are designed to forecast demand and plan operations. To test the added value of implementing bottom-up approach, SAP APO applications are providing simulations functionalities to estimate the resulting Demand Forecast Accuracy (e.g. POS sales ; Sales invoices ; shipments, etc.) In the manufacturer to retailer model, customer collaborative partnerships have been become more common since the 1990s. Although there was a lot of industry support behind CPFR (Collaborative Planning, Forecasting and Replenishment), manufacturers and retailers are adopting different versions of collaborative forecasting and replenishment strategies. These include Collaborative-VMI, CPFR, Account Based Forecasting, CMI, Shared Single Forecast and replenishment etc. The challenges and complexities faced by the retailer are somewhat different from the challenges faced by suppliers (manufacturers and distributors). Therefore, the demand management technology for the merchant is somewhat different from that of the brand or manufacturer on the supply-side. Customer Demand Planning aims at matching customer supply planning logic and imply CPFR type collaboration. Areas components of Demand Management include Customer Experience, Demand Creation, Inventory and Pricing Optimization, Channel Management, Sourcing, Transportation Optimization and Advanced Practices in Technology.
