Classify Your Brand and Generic Keywords - Google Best Practices

02:42
Google AdWords is now Google Ads. Click here to learn more about our new advertising brand: blog.google/technology/ads/new-advertising-brands/ People can use either generic or brand keywords to find you. Review the differences between these types of keywords so that you can manage them more effectively in AdWords. Find out more at g.co/GoogleBP. 00:06 Hello the Internet, and welcome to yet another video in our ongoing series: Keywords to the Wise. Today we're talking about classifying your brand and generic words. We're going to talk about 3 key things today. But first, it's just the difference between generic and brand keywords. 00:18 So what is a generic keyword? Generic keywords tend to attract new customers to your business. You can reach folks looking to buy, but not necessarily from you. 00:28 They may not know that you offer this, or maybe they just forgot that you offer this specific product and this is a great opportunity for you to remind them about this fact. 00:35 They're looking for something and you can actually answer that even if they forgot about it temporarily. 00:39 On the other hand, brand keywords can connect you with returning customers. This shows an ad for searches that contain your brand name. 00:47 Now they may know your brand name from a variety of different sources. They may have heard of you from maybe a television ad, or they could've been searching for something that just happens to contain your brand name. 00:55 Or maybe they're just coming back to your site from that time. For whatever reason, there's just people that have heard of you before and are searching for you by name specifically. 01:03 Because of that, it's going to be about different traffic between brand and generic, and you're going to want to manage that traffic differently. 01:09 Something to keep in mind is that you might want to have actual different campaigns within AdWords to manage the generic and brand keywords. 01:17 Because budget and some other controls are set at the campaign level, you might want to manage your campaigns differently. 01:23 Generic and brand aren't going to have the same results expected of them, so you may want to manage them separately. 01:28 Additionally within generic, there might be different types of keywords, so think about what you want from a keyword and think about what its goals can be. 01:35 As an example, generic keywords might have a higher cost per sale that you're targeting within your account. 01:40 Because it's someone who's new, who hasn't been to your site before, you might value that customer differently, and might be willing to pay more to actually attract them and get them for the first time. 01:48 But brand keywords, you might be targeting a higher average position and impression share. 01:53 Because you know they want to find you specifically, you can control the messaging on top the Google results page, and just bring those people back right where you want them. 02:02 So when you're classifying your brand and generic keywords, know the difference between them. It's kind of important. 02:05 You'll also want to put those keywords into different campaign types so you can manage them separately and control budget separately, if you decide to do that. 02:13 And also set different goals for your branded and generic keywords. Even if you have differences within your generic keyword set, you want to be able to control that stuff differently. 02:19 Thanks for watching this video on "Keywords to the Wise." Hopefully you'll tune in to the rest to the other three. We got plenty of goodies for you. Thanks for watching! Should You Advertise on Branded Keywords?

14:18
Today we're discussing one of the most common arguments in search advertising: branded keywords. (read full article - https://goo.gl/y2A9ub) Join our FREE PPC MINI-COURSE - https://goo.gl/wfD8ud Should you or should you not bid on your branded keywords? There are very strong cases on both sides of this argument. But, one side's position is grounded in facts, while the other is based on sentiment. Let's take a look at both sides of this argument. And... I'll show you why a data-driven analysis provides a decisive answer on how to approach branded keywords in paid search. What are branded keywords? Branded or brand keywords are search terms associated with a company's brand name. Here are some examples of branded keywords searches: "PPC Mastery Course" "PPC Mastery Course reviews" "What is PPC Mastery Course" "PPC Mastery Course price" Should you bid on branded keywords? There's a pretty hot debate about bidding on brand associated keywords. In my experience, about 75% of the PPC community wholeheartedly believes in including brand names in their PPC campaigns. Yet, there's another 25% of people that are totally opposed to bidding on branded keywords. The opposition to branded keyword bidding is usually pretty vocal. They can't fathom why they should have to pay Google a single cent for the brand notoriety they've worked hard to build. PPC Course student question Shelly, one of our PPC Course students, posted this question in our Course forum. She wants to know if she should include her clients branded keywords in their PPC campaigns. Shelly asks: Fortunately, there's a right and wrong answer to this question. Let's look at both sides of the branded keywords argument, while I answer Shelly's question. The "No Brand Keywords" argument Here are the most common arguments against bidding on branded search terms. Established organic search ranking Most companies rank at the top of organic search for their brand name. They've spent time and money on building up brand related authority. If they've already solidified top search ranking on a keyword why pay to advertise on it? Google already has enough of our money Why should you pay Google for ads on branded search terms, when you're already spending money to advertise on other searches? The argument here is that you shouldn't throw PPC money at branded keywords. Instead, save the budget for search terms where you don't show up in organic rankings. We own the brand, not Google This argument is based on outright frustration. "How dare Google make us pay for clicks on our brand!" They will just click on us anyway If someone's using a branded search they must be looking for that companies home page, right? If that's true, there's no reason to pay for ads. Your organic result will win the click anyway. Advertising would have you competing against yourself. The arguments against advertising on branded keywords are usually supported by strong convictions. But they're not grounded in data. So what's the argument for advertising on branded keywords? Let's look at how branded keywords factor into organic search results. As we can see from the WordStream analysis below, head terms, 2 to 3 word search terms, have about a 20% organic click-through-rate (CTR). https://moz.com/blog/does-organic-ctr-impact-seo-rankings-new-data Long tail keywords, search terms comprised of 4 or more words, get approximately a 30% organic CTR. Brand names usually fall into the category of head terms. So, if your brand ranks #1 in organic search for your branded keywords, you still only get about 20% to 30% of the available clicks. Even the best organic search results miss out on nearly 70% of all search traffic. If you rely only on organic search to capture traffic, you're missing out on most of the searches for your brand. That's the CTR argument for advertising on your branded keywords. Now, let's look at branded keywords from a customer perspective. Below are the search results for the manufacture of my favorite drone - "dji." The first result is a paid add that fills up most of my screen. The company information shows up on the right side of my browser. Then below the paid add is the latest news about DJI. If I want to get to the organic results, I have to scroll over halfway down the page. I even have to bypass Dji's latest tweets to get to their organic "homepage" result. Does your customer have enough patience to find your organic search results? Now put yourself in the shoes of a customer. How many people really have the patience to scroll all the way to your organic listing? The searcher will have to ignore the paid ad on your brand name, if there is one. Then, they will have to bypass all the latest news and ignore your twitter feed to get to your organic result. (read full article - https://goo.gl/y2A9ub)

Should You Run Brand Campaigns On Google? - 6 Tips From The Pros

07:48
If you're not running brand campaigns on Google you're missing out! Watch this video for 6 tips on why we think you should. . . . Brand campaigns are an easy way to drive more conversions at a low cost and increase sales. Let’s break down 6 tips! Tip #1 - Your competitors can advertise on your brand name! Brand ads put you on top so they don't steal clicks and customers from you. Additionally, this helps drive up their cost since they have to compete with you directly. Tip #2 - You can control your copy/message and include ad and link extensions. This means you are in charge of the first thing people see about your business. Tip #3 - You take up more valuable real estate at the top of the page. The more real estate you have, the more likely you'll earn a consumer's attention. Tip #4 - They are cheap! The cost on clicks for a brand campaign is much lower than normal ads. When you look at the cost per conversion from these ads, it often crushes the performance of all other channels. No reason not to do it. Tip #5 - They perform better than organic listings - According to Search Engine Land there are studies showing that paid ads convert better than organic listings. The conversion rates can be up to 4 times higher than organic! Besides that, when you have a paid ad above your organic listing it increases organic clicks by 32% because it builds trust/confidence. Tip #6 - Capture more high-quality leads that are ready to buy. People who are searching for your branded terms are already aware of your brand and ready to take the next step. Such as people that have heard about you from a friend, researched you previously, are a return customer, seen you on social media and liked what they saw, etc... If you're not there when they search for you you've just given them a reason to work with your competition! . . . Thanks for watching! Increased 4,899% Organic Traffic through NON- BRAND KEYWORDS to Dominate Google

02:49
Covering Note/ Overall Experience: Finance & Banking is one of the most competitive online marketplaces, with affiliates, brands and publishers all jockeying for visibility. While UTIMF had built a good reputation over a period of time, yet it could not attract prospects who were not specifically looking for UTI MF but were keen to learn more about the category. It required a major shift in their search strategy. After implementing SEO techniques, the company was able to grow 149% organic traffic through non-brand keywords thereby attracting a new set of customers to UTI MF fold. Strategy: While the brand UTI MF is well established, it was losing the battle of keywords for non-brand terms. Our site ignored a large volume of prospects who were looking for category education and as a result lost out the opportunity to bring them into our lead funnel. Hence our entire strategy was built on improving INBOUND MARKETING USING CATEGORY KEYWORDS. The following strategic interventions were made: • Keywords Research: Extensive Keyword Research done with tools like Google Keyword Planner, Moz etc. and including Generic (Ex. NAV, ULIP Policy etc.) & Longtail Keywords (Ex. mutual funds nav India, latest nav of mutual funds etc.). Studying competition sites also helped in deciding keywords for UTIMF • Page Content Analysis: Optimising content with researched keywords without losing user readability. Adding schema to this content led to rich snippet in Google SERPs which could able to improve click through rate. Ex. Type of mutual funds • Content Generation & Optimization: Content developed & optimized with all SEO ethics. Targeted business niche keywords (Ex. Nav, ULIP Policy etc.) to relevant pages. • Content Promotion with Anchor Diversification: Run Quality link building campaign like Content marketing, Video, PPT, Doc, Infographics promotion. Social sharing, bookmarking, Q&A, Articles and PR also helps to market. Creative and Innovation: • HTTPS for Site: We have migrated site from http:// to https:// which made big difference in search engine in the form of improved search engine keyword ranking and increased organic visitors to site. • Site Architecture: As we know, uti mutual fund is a big brand in the finance and banking industry, so it has wide range of funds like equity fund, balance fund, debt fund and other market fund and we interlinked them by menu links and inner page architecture. • Rich Answer: Optimized content that can be direct answers to queries on Google search results • Microdata (Schema Mark-up): Implemented schema for breadcrumb, address which is useful for improving CTR of site. Execution: • Business Niche Keyword: Renewed business keywords which have large search volume, latent similar key phrases, longtails and local keywords so we can reach every stage of customer. • Page Analysis: Created dedicate page for targeted keywords. Wrote content for each of them with attractive images, graphs, videos etc and optimized them with best SEO techniques like high CTR title and description, headings, relevant anchor text, image optimization, canonicals, maintained keyword density according to the copy of page. • Website Loading Speed: As per google algorithms, we understand the values of page speed so while optimizing the page we have used compressed but quality images, gzip enabled, avoided internal CSS and Scripts which can help to improve the page load speed. • Link building: Generated quality backlinks for site in the form of content marketing strategies such as submissions on web 2.0 property, guest posting, articles, press release, infographics, videos and other effective authority link building strategies for finance domain. Results: Organic Traffic increased by 4,899% on NON-BRAND KEYWORDS. 88% of non-brand terms improved in ranking. Website Loading Speed was reduced from 11.5 Sec to 3.0 Sec Bounce Rate was reduced from 57% to 29%

Scott Galloway: Google's Latest Victim

03:23
Wikipedia is a loser. The amount of traffic that Google sends to Wikipedia has declined by more than a quarter-billion visits per month in the past three months. Although Google's not commenting, the suspicion is they changed their algorithm to favor brand sites over Wikipedia. In our recent Digital IQ Index: Food, we found that about one in eight brand search terms redirected to Wikipedia for organic search. Clearly someone at Google did the math and figured out that brands would be willing to bid more on key terms. ASOS is thriving. Why? In our Digital IQ Index: Department Stores, we discovered that ASOS dominates search, outperforming traditional competitors in their home markets across 650 keywords. Their secret appears to be getting the basics right: tagging photos, displaying basic search terms systematically on product pages, even using fonts that are easier for Google to crawl. On Instagram, they garner 95% of the top 1,000 posts organically. The company's strategy is raising brand awareness by posting content that consumers like (i.e. dog and food photos) rather than their own apparel. Only one of their top 10 posts features products. The method seems to be paying off, as their stock has risen 36% year on year. Another winner: music streaming. More than one trillion songs were streamed online in the first six months of 2015, double the amount streamed all of 2014. But not every streaming company can be a winner. The loser? Jay-Z's Tidal, which we predicted would be DOA, and it appears to be. Last month, iconic consulting firm McKinsey announced their Digital Quotient, which would be looking at four different dimensions, helping companies better allocate their capital in a digital age. We think this is a great idea! In fact, we liked it so much that we invented it in 2010. It's called the Digital IQ Index. Episode 44

Advanced Google AdWords Shopping PLA Structure

06:13
Shopping campaigns on Google AdWords are tricky beasts. On one hand, you appear for relevant, targeted, commercial terms. The terms you appear for come directly from your shopping feed. On the other hand, just because every term will be relevant, doesn't mean they're going to convert at the same rate. Query-Level bidding has been around in AdWords for almost 3-4 years, (http://searchengineland.com/step-step-guide-query-level-bidding-google-shopping-228309), but I still see most accounts ignoring the opportunity. Here's how to set-up: Campaign 1: General, Low Converting Search Terms. Priority: High Bids: Low Bids (say 50 cents) Negatives: All Brand terms & SKU Terms Campaign 2: Brand Terms, High Converting Search Terms Priority: Medium Bids: Higher than Campaign 1 (say 1-3 bucks) Negatives: Very Specific SKU Terms Campaign 3: Very Specific SKU Terms Priority: Low Bids: Higher than Campaign 2 (say 3-5 bucks) Negatives: Only bad SKU Terms =================================== Interested in a Free PPC Audit? 4 things to automate with Ahrefs: rank tracking, new & lost backlinks, brand mentions

07:49
Marketers are always looking for ways to automate tasks to make their life easier. Discover 4 things that you should automate right now to get the most from Ahrefs! Number 1: Ahrefs Rank Tracker Generally you want to rank for the top-level keywords related to your business: those terms that let people know who you are and what you sell. And since these are general keywords people tend to search for, you need to closely monitor your ranking progress for them. Here is how you can track them in Ahrefs: 1) add your website to the Dashboard (https://ahrefs.com/dashboard/metrics); 2) specify the top keywords you want to monitor with locations where your top audience will be searching from; 3) from Dashboard you can easily change the frequency of your email alerts, access Rank Tracker report to see where you rank for the keywords added or add new ones; you can even track your historical position for each keyword to see how you've ranked for this keyword over time. Your automated Tracked Keywords email report will show you the movement of the keywords you've specified. You'll see both: the keywords that have improved their positions and the keywords that have declined in their ranking, so you can track your top keywords without having to spend much time doing that manually. Number 2: New Keywords Alert The Rank Tracker alert will only track keywords that you specifically add to the tool, but your website is ranking in Google for hundreds or thousands of keywords. In the New Keywords alert (https://ahrefs.com/user/alerts/new-keywords) Ahrefs will show you what those keywords are. We monitor the position of your site across millions of keywords and send you a weekly email alert with all the improvements we've noticed since the previous week. Website owners often focus on the ranking of a few highly competitive keywords that are insanely hard to move. This alert shows you the longer-tail keywords your site ranks for that could bring a lot of new search traffic to your site. One more thing: after you've set up the New Keywords alert for your site, set one up for your competitors, so you know the keywords they are ranking for that you could target, as well. Number 3: New or Lost Backlinks Another thing that is automatically activated after you add your site to Dashboard is the tracking of New/Lost Backlinks for your website (https://ahrefs.com/user/alerts/backlinks). Ahrefs is the best backlink tool in the industry: every 24 hours our robots crawl over 5 billion web pages. We update our backlink index every 15 minutes. This means no other backlink tracking alert will come close to the quality of the data that you will get with Ahrefs. The cool thing is, you can create an alert for your competitors' websites or even specific URLs, as well as your own. Number 4: Monitoring "Web Mentions" Ahrefs "Mentions" alerts (https://ahrefs.com/user/alerts/mentions) are great for tracking who talks about your brand or your niche onine. And, of course, you want to track mentions of your competitors, too. All you need to do is to create an alert, and every time Ahrefs crawlers discover a new page containing the keywords that you are tracking, we'll get you notified about new mentions. With just these 4 alerts you have tons of timely insight to take your marketing to the next level. So make sure you've taken action and configured all 4 types of alerts for your brand! Not only did I find a Google Pixel phone, but it still worked and we were able to return the lost Google Phone to its owner. Also found sunglasses, metal, golf balls and even an old whitewall tire from the 1950's. How to Use Social Media Data to Improve Paid Search Campa

02:12
http://gosocialjobs.com By Jared Reed, Senior Online Marketing Manager SteadyRain Sisyphus had it easier. Pay-per-click (PPC) has become so technical, that it's hard to get a leg up as a newbie. Beginning at the dawn of Google, when I first got my feet wet with PPC, you could learn everything in an afternoon. These days, it seems like there's a new management tool, tracking metric, or ad product springing up every hour. To get a competitive edge, I strongly suggest using data from other sources to inform your PPC strategy. Today, we'll specifically look at social media data sources. Sure, you should spend time learning the tricks of the PPC trade, but investing your time in analyzing social media data will reward you and your clients handsomely. This new kid on the block and all her insider knowledge just might give you that extra boost you need to move ahead of the pack. Social Media Monitoring Social media monitoring programs now come in every size and price. But lucky for you, many monitoring tools are available to you free of charge. The easiest way to monitor data for PPC campaign improvement is to create Google Alerts for your brand terms. Google Alerts are emails sent to you when Google finds new results -- such as web pages, newspaper articles, or blogs -- that match your search terms. Look for terms people use when referring to your products, brand, or services that aren't being used in your PPC program. These keywords can often be a very rich source of additional traffic that can be bought at a much lower cost-per-click (CPC). Your customers are literally telling you what PPC campaigns to create via social media channels. Social Tags Like social media monitoring, social tagging can be a goldmine of information. For example, marketers can review sites that use tags often to find new terms and phrases to add to their PPC mix. Delicious is a social bookmarking site that utilizes user-generated tags in order to share links to a multitude of resources and information. Use the tag search function on Delicious to find new keywords for your PPC campaign. More specifically, if I sell iPad accessories, a tag search reveals the usual keyword suspects like "case" and "keyboard." However, the search results will also include other terms that I might not have considered, like "cool ipad accessories" or "ipad gadget accessories." Analyzing tags is a very manual process and can take some time, but your long tail traffic will benefit from terms that, over the long haul, can be a fire hose that's really cheap. Demographics Many social media monitoring platforms offer demographic information such as age and location. Use this information to expand your PPC program by creating a geo-targeted campaign focused on areas that generate the most traffic to your social media site. Facebook Insights offers some actionable, demographic data. Under Demographics, you can view visits to your page by country and city. Perhaps you have a disproportionate number of fans in Seattle, Washington or Dallas, Texas. Copy your national campaigns, optimize them for the local geo-modifiers and geo-target them. Competitors Not only are people talking about you, but they are also talking about your competitors. See what they are saying in online social arenas. What do they like or not like about competitors? This is great data you can use in not only your keyword buy, but also your ad copy. Let's go back to the Google Alerts example. Set up alerts for your competitors' brand terms, and see what people like or don't like about their brand, products, or services. Perhaps people complain that your competitor's customer service number is hard to find. Provided you have quality customer service available, create a PPC campaign or ad group centered on your customer service, and use the phone number in your ad copy. As digital marketers, we are way beyond the time when we could just focus on one or two digital channels. Search engine optimization, pay-per-click, and social media all work together in a connected ecosystem of online finding, sharing, and discussing. Squeeze our every last piece of benefit for your PPC data. Your customers are telling you what to do. Just listen.

How To Build A Brand | Increase Website Traffic with 301 Redirect | Miles Fryer

06:26
http://www.howtobuildabrand.org/ INCREASE YOUR GOOGLE RANKINGS and build your brand in the process. Find out more on our website or become a fan at facebook.com/BrandExpertTips. You can have MORE than one than domain name pointing to YOUR website. Miles Fryer gives you tips and WHY this will INCREASE your website ranking in Google. So often the presumption is that if you have a website then you can have only one domain pointing to it. You may also have heard that you actually can have more than one domain name pointing to the same website displaying your branding and services. This is true, but you must be careful how you point these domain names. Here is why... If you have simple "web forwarding" on a domain name to redirect people to another domain name where your website is hosted, Google will view this as two websites and therefore duplicate content. Google looks at every website on the internet and what it does not like to see is duplicate content, i.e. more than one website that has the same textual content in it. Your website can be penalized as a result. There is a way that you can have more than one domain pointing to your website and what's more you can add even greater value to your website while you build your brand! This means that you can now choose a main domain for your website that is keyword focused. Because Google reads the domain name of your website first, imagine what it would think if your main keyword was in the domain name -- BRILLIANT! Straight away it can associate this with the search terms your prospective customers are using in the search field. This means that when your website appears in the search engine results listings it will display that keyword focused domain name. So your prospective customers will also see a keyword focused domain there too and will see a direct correlation. And because you have a domain name that is potentially more company name related, you can make this display the website if it is typed into the address bar of the browser. How good is that for your brand management. To achieve this all you need to do is set up a "301" redirect (your webmaster will know what this is if worth their salt) from the company name domain name to the keyword focused domain name and Voila! How to get the best keywords from Google

08:56
http://geoffishere.com How to Get the Best Keywords from Google for Free There are many people who will tell you that SEO (search engine optimization) is some highly technical, secretive way of getting high Google rankings through relatively unknown tricks and underhanded methods. What a bunch of crap. The fact is, if you're looking for keywords and phrases that are related to the keyword you're targeting, Google will tell you exactly what you should include in your content pages. There's no tricks, just search, observe, and keep track. Here are the top 3 ways that I get keywords from Google, FOR Google, that work for me. Everyone has their own methods, these are the 3 that work for my content creation. You might have other ways of doing the same thing. If you do, then stick with what works for YOU. After searching for the keyword you're targeting: 1. Observe what Google provides you with in the website description in the search results. Many of the most relevant search terms are given to you in the descriptions. Copy as many as you can and add them to your list or spreadsheet. 2. At the bottom of the Google search page is something called: "Searches related to: --your search phrase--" Here Google is telling you want the best and most relevent search terms are. You can click on each search phrase to drill down to the next level. 3. Click on "Show Options" near the top of the Google search page. On the left you'll see a menu, click on "Wonder Wheel". This will give you a graphical representation of search terms that are relevant to your top level search. You can click on each search term to get more related keywords. I don't use any keyword tools or fancy software. I just search and keep track of what Google spits out at me. It works and gets me highly ranked for the phrases I target, and also for the phrases that I don't directly target but are relevant just the same. People often forget that Google's job is to provide it's users with the most relevant content to what they're searching for. If you're not providing it, you won't get any traffic from Google, simple as that. Write good content first, then edit it and ensure you have content relevant to your theme.

Scott Galloway: Vloggers Outshine Celebrities

03:31
A clear winner in a digital age: Smashbox. Ending print advertising hasn’t held back the Estée Lauder-owned beauty firm. To the contrary, Smashbox grew double digits this year, making it the second fastest-growing brand in Estée Lauder’s portfolio after Tom Ford. The brand’s innovative digital effort includes projecting images submitted by social media users on billboards during Oscar Week, in addition to opening up their studios to vloggers. The resulting #MadeAtSmashbox playlist has over eight million views on YouTube. In the digital arena, celebrities are fast becoming the losers. Beauty vloggers draw over 700 million views per month and have revolutionized beauty marketing, holding more influence with 13-to-24-year-olds than most mainstream celebrities. Vloggers also have 108 times the subscribers of beauty brands and dominate search. Two-thirds of first page search results for brand terms are vloggers, while only 8% are from brand pages. Another loser: Weight Watchers — and not in a healthy way. With so much free weight loss information available online, the organization’s share price shed $76 in three years, dropping from $80 to $4. There are an average 15,000 weight loss-related tweets per day. “Diet” got five million Google searches last month, a number that is constantly fluctuating. Searches rose 56% between December and January, then dropped 26% the following month as New Year’s resolutions faded away. The uninsured are also winners. Critics like Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson, who alleged that Obamacare was the worst thing since slavery, need only look at the data. The ratio of uninsured Americans 18 and older fell to 11.4% in Q2 – down from the high of 18% in Q3 2013 when the plan was put into effect. Conclusion: Obamacare is working. Consistent digital winner Netflix demonstrated yet another winning characteristic recently when police used it to track down a pair of fugitives. In another case, a woman’s claim of a violent attack was refuted when her FitBit proved she was awake and walking around, not sleeping. She’s probably wishing she used Weight Watchers instead. Google SEO Guide: SEO Terms Defined

02:42
http://tabithanaylor.com Google SEO Guide: SEO Terms Defined - call us 703-342-6883 SEO Terms Defined One of the most confusing aspects of marketing your local business online is trying to understand the various internet marketing terms. Here are some SEO terms and their definition to help shed some light. • SEO -- this stands for Search Engine Optimization and is a general term used to described methods and strategies that will help your site rank better in the search engine listings. • On page SEO - these are methods and strategies a site owner uses internally on their own site to help their site rank better. • Off page SEO - this covers methods and strategies a site owner uses externally on other people's websites and blogs to help his website rank better. • Backlinking - this off page SEO method involves creating links on other people's websites that point to your website. These links are called backlinks. • No follow links - these are backlinks that do not carry the "power/authority" of the page rank of the site they are located on. • Do follow links - these are backlinks that have the page rank of the site they are located on flowing through them to the back linked site. • White hat SEO -- these are ethical SEO tactics used by a site owner to promote his site, that are looked upon favourably by search engines. • Black hat SEO - these are unethical SEO tactics used by a site owner to promote his site, which are not desirable and may result in getting banned by search engines. • Backlink profile -- this refers to the mixture of the different type of backlinks a webmaster uses. • Backlink Value -- this is a calculation of the power of the backlinks a site owner has build. It equals the number of backlinks built multiplied by the strength of each backlink (based on the page rank of the site where the backlink is built). • Anchor Text -- this is the clickable part of text within an article or other piece of content which when clicked will direct the user to another page or site. • Page Rank -- this is a search engines measure of a webpage's authority on a scale of 0 to 10. Search engines rank individual web pages not websites as a whole. • Contextual links - these are back links that are embedded within the text of piece of content and are surrounded by other content. They are the most powerful type of backlinks especially if they appear on a sites homepage. • Keyword density - the number of times a keyword appears in a piece of content expressed as a percentage. The ideal mark is 3%. • Outbound links - these are links a website owner creates from his website to external websites as opposed to a backlink that links from external sites to his site. • Indexing -- a term used to describe when a search engine finds content on the web and lists it in its search results. TruNews is God’s answer to Satan’s fake news. TruNews is the world’s leading news source that reports, analyzes, and comments on global events and trends with a conservative, orthodox Christian worldview. Our vision is to build a global news network that provides a credible source for world news, events, and trends while giving respect and honor to Christians of all major denominations — Evangelical, Orthodox, Anglican, Catholic, and Protestant. We believe Christians need and deserve their own global news network to keep the worldwide Church informed, and to offer Christians a positive alternative to the anti–Christian bigotry of the mainstream news media. Like David vs. Goliath, Rick Wiles is a citizen reporter who decided to take on the Big News Media. Starting with a $7,500 donation in May 1999 to launch the first radio program, Rick’s faith in God and steadfast determination has overseen the growth and development of TruNews into an internationally recognized source of credible news and information in a world where nothing seems to make sense anymore. Rick’s professional career was in media marketing and advertising sales. Throughout his early years, God’s hand silently guided him to be in employed in the latest new media. While in his early 20’s, Rick’s first media job was with a new FM radio station in the days when AM was still king. In 1980, he blazed a path as a pioneer in local cable television advertising when CNN and ESPN were new start-up channels on cable TV. As a sales manager, he launched one of the first cable advertising interconnects in the nation. He was hired in 1984 by the Christian Broadcasting Network as the first National Cable Marketing Manager for the new CBN Cable Network which later became the Family Channel. In 1995, Paul F. Crouch hired Rick as the Marketing Director for Trinity Broadcasting Network where Rick repositioned the TBN brand inside the cable industry — and played an important role in negotiating the early contracts to launch TBN on DirectTV, DISH, and the former PrimeStar DBS systems. Rick resigned from TBN in September 1998 after receiving a dramatic call from God to full–time ministry. Have questions? Please send an email to [email protected] We are here to pray for you. Spoof Location with Your Browser . 2018 Local SEO Tricks

07:15
Want to #spoof your location' for whatever reason by using your web browser? Do you ever check how your #website is performing in other areas of the country? Just because you are showing in Ipswich, doesn't mean you are in Sudbury. Did you know that most hashtag#Google searches will change based on the location of the searcher? Internet #marketing is fun but it also has its dark side. We are seeing a trend of competitors bidding on brand terms but excluding the area where a client or website is based, presuming the website owner will never know.... We often find it within a couple hours and help shut it down. Now you can have a look for yourselves. Spoof your location for whatever reason, for free, quickly and easy! https://www.seomers.com/
