How Lucid Dreaming Works

04:06
You may have heard of lucid dreaming, the type of dream where the dreamer is aware of dreaming. Is lucid dreaming a real phenomenon? Sleep expert Matthew Walker explains how much we know about lucid dreams so far.  Tech Insider tells you all you need to know about tech: gadgets, how-to's, gaming, science, digital culture, and more. Subscribe to our channel and visit us at: http://www.businessinsider.com/sai TI on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/techinsider TI on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tech_insider/ TI on Twitter: https://twitter.com/techinsider -------------------------------------------------- Following is the transcript of the video: Jessica Orwig: What if we could control our dreams? When most of us dream, our thoughts and actions are involuntary. The dream plays out as if we were watching a movie. But not all dreams are the same. There is another kind of dreaming called lucid dreaming, which is more like playing a video game than watching a movie. Matthew Walker: By definition lucid dreaming is simply the act of knowing that you're dreaming whilst you're dreaming. My name is Matthew Walker. I am a professor of neuroscience and psychology at the University of California Berkeley. Most people actually think of lucid dreaming more in the sense of actually beginning to control what you're dreaming. So, you gain volitional control and you decide what's going to happen during your dream. Orwig: Frequent lucid dreamers claim that they can control many parts of the dream such as teleporting themselves to another location, learning to improve real-life skills, or even eating fire. It might sound far-fetched. And until recently we lacked the technology to prove if lucid dreaming was real or not. But a series of recent studies has shed light on the phenomenon. Walker: Scientists have designed experiments and they’ve been able to demonstrate objectively that when people say that they're doing something in that dream that they actually are. Orwig: In 2012, scientists reported results from one of the first experiments that objectively measured lucid dreams using fMRI scanners.  fMRIs measure the rate of blood flow to different areas of the brain, so they can relay information about a person's thoughts and actions simply through a series of images. For the study, scientists first asked participants to clench their fists while they were awake. This lit up key areas of the brain on the fMRI scanner. After that, participants were asked to fall asleep and dream about clenching their fists. Sure enough — similar regions of the brain lit up in both cases. Lucid dreaming comes naturally to some, but many of us have never experienced the sensation. However, that doesn’t mean it’s impossible. Walker: How can we actually become more capable of lucid dreaming? Well, it's a little bit tricky, but you can certainly try to tell yourself that you will remember that you're dreaming whilst you're dreaming before you actually fall asleep. So, try to go through a mantra chant as it were. Some people actually try to do deliberative things whilst sleeping, like turning on the lights in a room. And that helps them to become aware that they are dreaming at the moment of dreaming itself and therefore they gain lucid control. Orwig: Those who can already control their dreams with ease say lucid dreams aren’t only for entertainment but can also be used to expand one's conscious boundaries. On the other hand, lucid dreamers have also reported frightening accounts where they have trouble distinguishing reality from the dream. In some cases, this can be a sign of mental illness, and should be taken seriously. But why do some people have the ability to lucid dream but not others? And what is happening in our subconscious that triggers the experience? There’s still a lot we have to learn about the causes and effects of lucid dreaming. Walker: It seems to be only around 20 to 30% of the population are actually natural lucid dreamers. So, perhaps if it was so beneficial mother nature would have had all of us being table of lucid dreaming. And the fact that we’re not perhaps means that it's not necessarily beneficial. But we actually don’t know. Maybe those 20 to 30% of people who do lucid dream are at the forefront of hominid evolution, and they are going to be the next species of preference. We just don't know. Strange Facts About Dreams

03:35
Amazing things that happen to people while dreaming. Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg Description: Sleep is something that we do and need on a regular basis in order for our bodies to function. For most of us that sleep, we tend to experience some sort of dreaming, where our minds take off and we experience another world of existence. Sometimes we have good dreams, and sometimes we have nightmares that can terrify us to the core and force us to sleep with the lights on for the rest of the night. But our dreams are so much more than a nightly occurrence. But instead, they offer glimpses into our very own psyches and tell us so much about our psychology and how we deal with stress, anxiety, and overall feelings of our life. Studies have shown that we experience 4-6 dreams per night, which we quickly forget within the first ten minutes that we wake up. In the time that we dream, it can total out to be about 6 years of our life that we spend dreaming. While sleeping is typically perceived as a time of rest, scientists have discovered that the brain is busier than ever in our sleep while it is recharging. In fact, the brain can actually learn more efficiently and uses sleep and dreaming to process the new information it has received during the day. In dreaming, the brain can also sort through problems and dilemmas and come up with solutions. Needless to say, the brain is more active while it is recharging. This stage is known as rapid eye movement, and the body will also release a chemical that paralyzes you so that you don’t act out your dreams. If you wake up suddenly while the chemical is still present, sleep paralysis can result. If the brain hasn’t completely woken up yet, people can hallucinate and see their dreams before them. The result is the person is paralyzed, unable to speak, and could possibly be experiencing some pretty terrifying images that they don’t understand. Those who are blind can also dream, but in a different way. For those who have been blind since birth, they have no concept of visual stimulation, and therefore, can’t process visual imagery in their sleep. Instead, the blind experience dreams with their other senses in a heightened form, such as sound, taste, smell, and touch. While dreaming, we also act out our fears and personal insecurities. If you’re in a serious relationship, you’ve probably experienced a dream or two where your significant other is having an affair. Sometimes, these dreams are so real that the dreamer is still angry upon awakening. As long as the line between reality and personal worries is clear, then hopefully the drama stays in dream land. Sometimes our dreams can lead to more physical results, such as nocturnal emissions, or better known as wet dreams. Not just males experience this kind of pleasure and euphoria in their dreams, but females as well. This phenomenon is common in adolescence, but adults can have these sort of dreams too. These are but a few of the strange things about dreams. Check out the video and find out what other extraordinary things your brain is trying to tell you! What are Dreams? How to Understand Dreams and Tools for Effective Dreaming

10:08
Dreaming is a phenomena that everyone experiences in their own way. I believe that dreaming is a powerful opportunity for connecting to other levels of consciousness which we are connected too. This video is rooted in the awareness of who we are and then correlated with the idea of connecting to a higher aspect of who we are. This perspective includes the understanding that some dreams may be symbolic representations of certain messages we may be able to receive and what they may mean. It depends on the persons perspective and point of view to interpret what dreams mean for them. Since we all have our own way of digesting information dreaming may mean certain things to certain people and this video explores the facets of this concept. This video is about What do Dreams Mean? The Mind After Midnight: Where Do You Go When You Go to Sleep?

01:25:41
We spend a third of our lives asleep. Every organism on Earth—from rats to dolphins to fruit flies to microorganisms—relies on sleep for its survival, yet science is still wrestling with a fundamental question: Why does sleep exist? During Shakespeare and Cervantes' time, sleep was likened to death, with body and mind falling into a deep stillness before resurrecting each new day. In reality, sleep is a flurry of action. Trillions of neurons light up. The endocrine system kicks into overdrive. The bloodstream is flooded with a potent cocktail of critically vital hormones. Such vibrant activity begs the question: Where do we go when we go to sleep? Based on new sleep research, there are tantalizing signposts. We delved into the one-eyed, half-brained sleep of some animals; eavesdropped on dreams to understand their cognitive significance; and investigated extreme and bizarre sleeping behaviors like “sleep sex” and “sleep violence.” The World Science Festival gathers great minds in science and the arts to produce live and digital content that allows a broad general audience to engage with scientific discoveries. WHY DO WE DREAM WHEN WE SLEEP?

05:06
WHY DO WE DREAM? Thanks for watching and please subscribe! My channel explores a variety of subjects about questions we often ponder. I also share random fact lists! Come join us! There have been many questions asked throughout our time, but one of the most frequent things we have pondered in life is why we dream. So, why do we dream? Is it a way for us to experience things that we couldn’t otherwise? Is it a way for us to look into the future or relive our past? While the exact answer is still unknown and the question is still puzzling scientists around the world, a few theories have emerged. First of all, dreaming is something that everyone does. There is no controlling the actual act. With that being said, some people do believe that they can control the dreams they have based on deep thinking about a subject before they fall asleep. Others claim they don’t dream some nights or even at all, but this, we know is untrue based on brain activity patterns that have been studied in the past. It seems some of us just forget our dreams entirely and assume it didn’t happen. But since we know that it happens, why can’t we connect the dots to find out why it happens? It turns out, we are missing a lot of the puzzle pieces. We first learned about REM or Rapid Eye Movement because of observations of sleeping babies. As we would watch our babies sleep we would be able to physically see their eyes going side to side. This observation was thing watch in laboratories for the first dream studies. After analyze sleep patterns and discussing memories with sleep study participants, it turned out that this Rapid Eye Movement was the time in sleep that was most connected with dreaming. Of course, later studies have shown that dreaming occurs during other sleep cycles as well, but it is mostly likely to occur during REM sleep. Now, Rapid Eye Movement, or REM sleep isn’t random. It’s part of cycle that repeats itself many times during sleep. And while you might have some nights where you feel you dreamt the whole night away, the fact is REM sleep only accounts for about 22 percent of your sleeping time in adults. For babies, it is actually higher at 50 percent. So Why do we dream? Several theories have been put forth, but we will discuss the three main ones. One thought is that we dream in order to sort out all of the information we learned throughout the day. You take in a lot of information each day from things people say and do to things you do and learn. All of this can get jumbled. Some scientists simply believe that our dreams work as a way to organize the information and basically place it in the right order in our brain. Now some of these same scientists go a step further and believe that the dreaming process helps the brain decide which information to hold onto and what to forget. Your brain sorts through the information and connects it with other memories that have been stored to determine whether or not it is something that should be kept. Information deemed less important by your brain would be thrown out. Subscribe so you don't miss out. FOLLOW ME! Lucid Dreaming Sleep Track (8 Hour Sleep Cycle Track) with Binaural beats and Isochronic Tones

08:00:18
◢ Using a complex pattern of binaural beat and isochronic tone frequencies dedicated to help you achieve good sleep and have lucid dreams, this 8-hour music track is divided into four unique sections. In the first 2 hours we've used frequencies that range from 3-13Hz (Alpha-Theta range) to help calm your mind and feel deeply relaxed. There is a pleasurable feeling of floating and it will give effects such as stress reduction, relaxed awareness, release of serotonin, and an induction to sleep spindles as your mind and body allows itself into sleep. It also contains triggers for creativity and imagery and access to subconscious images as you doze off. ◢ Download the full track album at our Online Music Store: http://brainwavepowermusic.com/album/225456 The second and third sections contain more of the Theta waves, which are also present in dreaming, sleep, deep meditation and creative inspiration. As you have already fallen asleep, the binaural beats tap into your subconsciousness as your mind prepares itself into a lucid dream state. The music is more steady so as not to interrupt your sleep. A lot of people ask us what equipment we use in creating our music, here are some of the hardware we use to create our Brainwave Power Music. This is where deep sleep occurs and more often than not, the dream state. There is a decreased awareness of the physical world. This section also contains the Earth Resonance or Schumann Resonance, which will leave you feeling revitalized upon waking up. Lucid Dreaming doesn't happen all at once, so patience is an important factor. We also advise you to keep a dream journal near you. We hope you'll enjoy our first-ever 8 hour full audio track. What Happens To Your Brain When You Dream

Subscribe to our channel and visit us at: http://www.businessinsider.com/sai TI on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/techinsider TI on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tech_insider/ TI on Twitter: https://twitter.com/techinsider -------------------------------------------------- Following is the transcript of the video: Matthew Walker: My name is Matthew Walker, I am a professor of neuroscience and psychology at the University of California, Berkeley and I am the author of the book "Why We Sleep." What is dreaming and what happens and are there any real benefits to dreaming? Well, to take a step back I think it's important to note that dreaming essentially is a time when we all become flagrantly psychotic. And before you perhaps dismiss that diagnosis, I'll give you five good reasons, because last night when you were dreaming, first you started to see things which were not there, so you were hallucinating. Second, you believe things that couldn't possibly be true, so you were delusional. Third, you became confused about time, place, and person, so you're suffering from disorientation. Fourth, you had wildly fluctuating emotions like a pendulum, something that we call being affectively labile. And then, how wonderful? You woke up this morning and you forgot most if not all of that dream experience, so you're suffering from amnesia. And if you were to experience any one of those five symptoms while you were awake, you would be seeking psychological or psychiatric treatment, yet during sleep and dreaming it seems to be both a normal biological and psychological process. What are the functions, then, or the benefits of dreaming? Well we know that dream sleep, which principally comes from a stage that we call rapid eye movement sleep or REM sleep, dream sleep actually provides at least two benefits for the brain. The first is actually creativity, because it's during REM sleep and dreaming specifically when the brain starts to collide all of the information that you've recently learned together with all of this back catalog of autobiographical information that you've got stored up in the brain. And it starts to build novel connections, it's almost like group therapy for memories. And through this pattern of informational alchemy at night, we create a revised mind wide web of associations. And you can start to divine new novel insights into previously unsolved problems, so that you wake up the next morning with new solutions, and it's probably the reason that no one has ever told you that you should stay awake on a problem. Instead, people tell you to sleep on a problem. And we now have good evidence that it's dream sleep that gifts you that type of informational wisdom rather than simply knowledge. The second benefit of dream sleep is essentially a form of overnight therapy. It's during dream sleep where we start to actually take the sting out of difficult, even traumatic, emotional experiences that we've been having. And sleep almost divorces that emotional, bitter rind from the memory experiences that we've had during the day. And so that we wake up the next morning feeling better about those experiences. So you can think of dream sleep as emotional first aid and it sort of offers this nocturnal soothing balm that smoothes those painful stinging edges of difficult experiences. So it's not time that heals all wounds, but it's time during dream sleep that provides you with emotional convalescence.

ASMR How to Control your Dreams (Lucid Dreaming)

31:33
Lucid dreaming is such a big part of my life. It's amazing, and more people should at least know what it is ^_^ **This video was recorded in advance, i'm currently visiting family in Poland. I'll be back August 28. ──────────────────────────── Follow me: 🐦http://twitter.com/PJDreamsASMR 📷http://instagram.com/pjdreamsasmr 🔥 https://snapchat.com/add/pjdreamsasmr ──────────────────────────── HD audio from this video: 🔹 https://www.patreon.com/posts/11122058 🔹 ──────────────────────────── My ASMR Playlists: 🔹 ASMR Inaudible 🔹 https://goo.gl/BZ96fh 🔹 ASMR Sound Assortment 🔹 https://goo.gl/5hyktA 🔹 ASMR Tapping 🔹 https://goo.gl/GHSZMs 🔹 ASMR Roleplay 🔹 https://goo.gl/ff5stJ ──────────────────────────── What is ASMR? To me ASMR is an art form, just as a movie can put you in a different state of mind, so can ASMR. The difference being, movies achieve this state of mind as a byproduct, while ASMR strives to find those bits and amplify them. Over the years ASMR has greatly evolved from a simple tingle to a full body and mind experience. With an infinite amount of genres designed to help you, most popularly it can be used for relaxation, focus, motivation, stress and anxiety relief. As the asmr community rapidly grows so does it's understanding. No longer is asmr a guilty pleasure but rather a scientifically studied and proven method of relaxation as a branch of meditation. As a follower of ASMR you know just how beneficial it can be first hand, and if you are new, I greatly encourage you to step into this new world with and open mind... just be sure you're ready for it to be blown. Top 7 Types of Dreams You SHOULD Know About!

04:37
Common dream types include nightmares, lucid dreams, healing dreams, recurring dreams, physiological dreams, psychic dreams, and epic dreams. Whether you agree with Freud, Jung, or other dream experts, delving into the mysterious world of dreams is fun and fascinating. To some psychologists, dreams aren’t that magical; they’re simply a product of our brainwave activity when sleeping. However, Sigmund Freud, the founding father of psychoanalysis, and Carl Jung, an early supporter of Freud’s theories about the unconscious, believe that dreams come from a deep well within our psyches where we store all our unconscious fears and desires. What is your opinion on dream types? Do you frequently have common dreams about certain themes, and wonder if the dream symbols mean something? Check out our other video! Lucid Dreaming Music: "Infinite Dreams" - Deep Relaxation, Imagination, Stress Relief, Dream Recall

08:00:54
◢ Engage yourself with Infinite Dreams with our 8-hour lucid dreaming music album that contains various brainwave entrainment frequencies to also help you achieve deep sleep and dream recall. In the first 2 hours the music and binaural beat frequencies range from 3-13Hz (Alpha-Theta) to help calm your mind. It gives the effects of stress reduction, relaxed awareness, and is an induction to sleep spindles. It also triggers creativity and imagery and accesses the subconscious mind as you listen to the added soundscapes. The second and third sections contain more pure tone Theta waves, which are also present in dreaming, sleep, and deep meditation. This stage also taps into your subconsciousness as your mind prepares itself into a lucid dream state. The fourth and last section returns itself to the Alpha with a mix of Theta and Delta. This is where the dream state occurs, where the REM is very active. With our added soundscapes and lucid dream bell triggers, which can cause the sleeper to have a false awakenings —which helps to give more vivid dreams once you go back to sleep— this section also contains the Earth Resonance that will leave you feeling revitalized upon waking up. Simply listen to the music and the tones while you fall asleep. Lucid dreaming can be a great experience for anyone who wants to live their own life and experience awesome events without the danger of actually being present. In this animated video, I give you a few tips on how you can induce a lucid dream using the MILD and WILD techniques. Mnemonically induced lucid dreaming is probably best for newer dreamers, while wake induced lucid dreaming is easier to perform, but may cause sleep paralysis. Follow the tips in this video for best results. Remember altering your sleeping schedules or any other sleeping factors may cause negative consequences, so try this with your own risk. Why Do We Dream?

04:07
(Inside Science) -- Why do we dream? Sigmund Freud said dreams are the hallucinatory fulfilment of an oppressed infantile wish. Well, that was 100 years ago -- how do we think about dreams now? We can describe dreams as vivid, sensorimotor hallucinatory experiences. Now, think back through your own dreams. They share common features. They have a narrative. They generally involve other people. And those people are often hostile. Dreams are always shaped by our own individual experiences and memories. But how can we actually learn about them? First, you need to find someone who is dreaming. But, you can’t just ask a sleeping person to tell you whether they’re dreaming or not, without stopping them from dreaming. But you can do something almost as good. There is a stage in the sleep cycle called rapid eye movement sleep, or REM sleep. During REM sleep, nine out of 10 people report dreaming. So, researchers often use REM sleep as a signal that someone is dreaming. Those flickering eye movements have even been suggested to correspond to scene changes during dreams. Now, this might seem a little counterintuitive, but during REM dreaming, we’re conscious, but in a wonderfully strange way. It’s because of the neurotransmitters being released into our brain. When we’re fully awake, we have acetylcholine, serotonin and noradrenalin sloshing around up there. But, during REM dreaming there’s only acetylcholine. Acetylcholine can trigger the activity between our thalamus and our cortex that makes us conscious. But without serotonin and noradrenalin, we’re not actually awake -- we’re caught in dream consciousness. In this state we see vivid, hallucinatory dreamscapes that are generated by activity in high level parts of the visual cortex. Vast areas of the emotion processing regions, the limbic system, are also alive; in fact, emotional processes are more active during REM sleep than when we’re awake. And on top of that, the area that focuses attention and imposes top down logical thinking is strongly deactivated. So, our dreams can become hyperemotional. It’s even suggested that dreaming helps us process emotional events in our lives. There is study that found that people going through a divorce had worse dreams but were actually in a better emotional state a year later. Maybe the most popular theory for why we dream is that it helps us lay down memories. There are experiments that support this view and the brain’s memory encoding system is active during sleep. But, if this theory is true, then we need to deprive people of REM sleep -- then they should have worse memories, right? Wrong. Antidepressants decrease REM sleep and dreaming, but in some cases they actually improve memory. So, memory formation is unlikely to be the whole purpose of dreaming. One thing that is clear from all of this, is that sleeping and dreaming are very active processes. And much more akin to wakefulness than we might think. In fact, when this video is finished, just let your mind wander for a spell. Although you’re awake, you’ll end up activating the same specific brain network that’s activated when you dream.

What Does It Mean When You Dream About Your Ex [RIG 28] Clay Andrews

30:55
Sign up for free dating and relationship advice over at http://relationshipinnergame.com. There's a lot of resources out there on interpreting dreams, and one question we're all eager to ask is what it means when we dream about our exes. If you use google I'm sure there'll be a lot of interpretations on what it means if you dream about X. Y or Z. When I was in grad school, we had a professor who was able to give us an explanation on dreams and what they actually mean. So today I'm going to be talking about interpreting dreams about your ex. Stay tuned to find out more. If you liked this video, please feel free to give us a thumbs up and please subscribe to the channel to receive updates and notifications when we publish new videos every week. Head over to http://relationshipinnergame.com to get more help and advice with your love or dating life.Today Clay Andrews will answer for you what does it means when you dream about your ex. This isn’t really his answer, but one that his professor from grad school (a clinical psychologist) told him. Go to http://relationshipinnergame.com and sign up for help to move on from your ex today. Check out more Relationship Inner Game episodes here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHF0tY9yTpM&list=PLBHfQVp_OsaUvCR1Ps2Ld8r_SSpNm187w Subscribe to the Relationship Inner Game channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCCkgW8hMzDsA27ggVS0-TlQ **** Psychologically speaking, when you dream about your ex, you’re trying to reconcile different parts of your unconscious mind together. This means that your ex in your dream doesn’t necessarily represent something static that is the same amongst all people. That’s really the big problem with those dream interpretation books. Each person interprets individual people and objects in their dreams differently. And dreaming about your ex doesn’t necessarily mean that the two of you should get back together again. (Although it might…) Instead, you have to look deeper. What does your ex mean to you? How did things end between you and them? Are you on good terms? Are you on bad terms? Do you secretly wish something was different between you and your ex? Do any of these things apply to you personally? Are there parts of you that you are proud of but you don’t trust fully? That might be en example that could cause someone to dream about their ex. So you have to look at your dreams about your ex in this way. Because your ex actually represents a part of you that you’re struggling to come to terms with, unconsciously. Of course, after considering things, you may very well decide that your dream is brought on by a serious desire to get back together with your ex… or at least missing them… or regretting how things ended… or finishing something that was left incomplete between the two of you. So when you dream about your ex, it’s really a call for some form of deeper inquiry rather than a definitive meaning that you should get back together. If you’re having dreams about your ex, take some time and think about what all this means. What do you really want for yourself? And if you decide that you do want to get back together with them, that’s something you can explore. Or if you realize you’re just going through some form of psychological integration, that is fine too. You can use that information for further personal grown and development to make you a stronger and better person.

How To Remember Your Dreams

05:33
Memory training tips here https://www.blackbeltmemory.info/3secrets/?WickedSource=Youtube&WickedID=How-to-remember-dreams What did you dream last night? Can you remember? Is there a way to remember your dreams? Learning how to remember your dreams is a fun thing to do but it can also be your subconscious telling you something. You can do simply things like writing down on paper what you want to think about or dream about and then your subconscious will work on that information. A lot of good ways to remember your dreams are: Getting a good nights sleep will help you remember your dream. Dreams occur in the REM stage of sleep. This is the later deeper stages of sleep and when you sleep well you will get here. Go to bed at the same time every night and get up at the same time Keep a note pad or recorder by your bed so when you wake up you can write down your dreams. Keep your alarm clock close to your bed. If your alarm clock is near your bed you will not have to get up because getting out of bed changes your thought process and there is a less chance that you will remember your dreams. If you can wake up without an alarm clock or have someone gently wake you up. When you alarm clock starts with radio talking or songs that shifts your mindset to what is on the radio and it is less likely you will remember your dreams. Have a note on your alarm clock that says, 'What did you dream today?' That will focus your mind right away when you wake up Carry a recorder (maybe just your cell phone) with you throughout the day because often something during the day will trigger what you dreamed of. Taking alcohol or sleep medication before you sleep will impact your ability to sleep well and dream. Stay in the same position as when you wake up and focus on a spot in the room. This will keep your brain focused and on the same idea as when you were asleep and dreaming. If you shift your position or focus you start thinking about other things Wake up more frequently during the night because you often only remember your last dream. This is only recommended for those that find it easy to fall asleep and get adequate sleep If you are now remembering your dreams but you want to know what they mean here you go https://memorise.org/top-10-brain-foods/4235

08:00:47
◢ Dare to take the next level of lucid dreaming? "Lucidly Erotic" invokes your sexual subconsciousness that brings you into a fantasy of desire and fiery passion as it uses sexy sound elements to influence your dreams, while the brainwave entrainment frequencies guides your sleeping mind that triggers vivid imagery, dream recall, and helps to attain the awareness of being inside of a dream. Using binaural beats and isochronic tones that range within the different stages of the Sleep Cycles, such as 4Hz to 16Hz, this will allow your intimate fantasies to come to life in your dream reality. The first stage will help you to gain deep relaxation in both mind and body as you focus on your specific sexually stimulating dreamscape. As you doze off into deeper sleep, the next couple of sleep stages are mainly for your mind and body's recharge and relaxation. The last stage contains the sound elements that are key factors into enhancing and influencing your sex dreams, which also taps into the REM stage. What is DREAM TELEPATHY? What does DREAM TELEPATHY mean? DREAM TELEPATHY meaning & explanation

04:42
What is DREAM TELEPATHY? What does DREAM TELEPATHY mean? DREAM TELEPATHY meaning - DREAM TELEPATHY definition - DREAM TELEPATHY explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. Dream telepathy is the purported ability to communicate telepathically with another person while one is dreaming. The first person in modern times to document telepathic dreaming was Sigmund Freud. In the 1940s it was the subject of the Eisenbud-Pederson-Krag-Fodor-Ellis controversy, named after the preeminent psychoanalysts of the time who were involved Jule Eisenbud, Geraldine Pederson-Krag, Nandor Fodor, and Albert Ellis. There is no scientific evidence that dream telepathy is a real phenomenon. Parapsychological experiments into dream telepathy have not produced replicable results. The notion and speculation of communication via dreaming was first mooted in psychoanalysis by Sigmund Freud in 1921. He produced a model to express his ideas about telepathic dreaming. His 1922 paper Dreams and Telepathy is reproduced in the book Psychoanalysis and the Occult (1953) and was intended to be a lecture to the Vienna Psycho-Analytical Society, although he never delivered it. Freud considered that a connection between telepathy and dreams could be neither proven nor disproven. He was distinctly suspicious of the whole idea, noting that he himself had never had a telepathic dream. (His two dreams that were potentially telepathic, where he dreamed of the deaths of a son and of a sister-in-law, he labeled as "purely subjective anticipations".) His ideas were not widely accepted at the time, but he continued to publicly express his interest and findings about telepathic dreaming. He also observed that he had not encountered any evidence of dream telepathy in his patients. In the 1940s Jule Eisenbud, Geraldine Pederson-Krag and Nandor Fodor described alleged cases of dream telepathy. Albert Ellis regarded their conclusions to have been based upon flimsy evidence, and that they could be better explained by bias, coincidence and unconscious cues than by dream telepathy. He also accused them of an emotional involvement in the notion, resulting in their observations and judgement being clouded. There have been many experiments done to test the validity of dream telepathy and its effectiveness, but with significant issues of blinding. Many test subjects find ways to communicate with others to make it look like telepathic communication. Attempts to cut off communication between the agent, sender, and receiver of information failed because subjects found ways to get around blindfolds no matter how intricate and covering they were. In studies at the Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York led by Stanley Krippner and Montague Ullman, patients were monitored and awakened after a period of REM then separated to study the claimed ability to communicate telepathically. They concluded the results from some of their experiments supported dream telepathy. The picture target experiments that were conducted by Krippner and Ullman were criticized by C. E. M. Hansel. According to Hansel there were weaknesses in the design of the experiments in the way in which the agent became aware of their target picture. Only the agent should have known the target and no other person until the judging of targets had been completed, however, an experimenter was with the agent when the target envelope was opened. Hansel also wrote there had been poor controls in the experiment as the main experimenter could communicate with the subject. An attempt to replicate the experiments that used picture targets was carried out by Edward Belvedere and David Foulkes. The finding was that neither the subject nor the judges matched the targets with dreams above chance level. Results from other experiments by Belvedere and Foulkes were also negative. In 2003, Simon Sherwood and Chris Roe wrote a review that claimed support for dream telepathy at Maimonides. However, James Alcock noted that their review was based on "extreme messiness" of data. Alcock concluded the dream telepathy experiments at Maimonides have failed to provide evidence for telepathy and "lack of replication is rampant."

Dreams About Snakes: Explained

08:37
“A dream about snakes is a warning that you are interacting one or more persons who cannot be trusted.” Tip 1: If the dream is about 1 snake then the dream is referring to one person. If the dream is about multiple snakes then the dream is referring to a group of people or an organization Tip 2: There will be something about the snake that resembles the person or the organization it represents in real life. Tip 3: You normally have dreams about snakes right when you begin to deal with them or when the snake is about to strike you. So think about who you’ve recently started interacting with, that you think is trustworthy. Avoid dealing with these people at all costs. Why? because you can’t trust the snake.
