Dunkin' Brands and Coca-Cola Sign Product and Marketing Agreement

Dunkin Brands Group (NASDAQ:DNKN) and Coca-Cola (NYSE:KO) on Monday both have signed a product and marketing agreement. Starting this month, more than 9,400 Dunkin Donuts and Baskin-Robbins ice cream locations will have Coca-Cola and by August all locations will carry Coca-Cola products. Chris Lowe, President, Foodservice and On-Premise, Coca-Cola Refreshments said, "We look forward to bringing a great selection of Coca-Cola products to Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin-Robbins customers and to leveraging our joint marketing capabilities to create innovative, engaging promotions designed to drive beverage sales and growth at both restaurant chains." Coca-Cola (NYSE:KO) has potential upside of 2.6% based on a current price of $73.87 and an average consensus analyst price target of $75.77. Coca-Cola is currently above its 50-day moving average (MA) of $69.40 and above its 200-day of $68.22. In the last five trading sessions, the 50-day MA has climbed 0.79% while the 200-day MA has risen 0.27%.

Well, ever since the industrial revolution, that “how” has been a vital question for many businesses. Today, we’re going to look at how in post-war Japan, Toyota helped to create one of the smartest production systems that we have, named “Just In Time”. We’ll look at how it works and how you can apply the philosophy and practises to many other areas of business too. After World War 2, Japan faced some difficult problems; they didn’t have a lot of cash, resources were scarce, and there wasn’t a lot of free land to expand factories. However, Taiichi Ohno at Toyota managed to turn these problems into advantages by slowly creating the Just In Time system. The idea didn’t all come at once, it’s more that through the 50s and 60s, various changes were implemented and improved until the 70s were the wider world began to realise the benefits and start to adopt a similar approach. MRP and CMSI sign Parts Support and Sales Agreement Thursday, October 15, 2009 Miami, FL MRP and CMSI are pleased to announce to the US dealer base a new parts and aftermarket sales agreement between the two companies. Starting Mid November MRP will be taking over all OEM parts and Aftermarket distribution of parts for CMSI. The agreement allows MRP to expand its dealer base while helping CMSI dealers have a wider range of products and accessories. Given the recent economic downturn we felt we could better integrate and expand in a down market while working with specialists in the area of scooters commented Tom Lynott president of CMSI Inc. Joel Martin of MRP continued we felt working with CMSI made sense because the company will focus on importing units while we focus on the parts distribution unlike other buyouts or mergers we will operate as separate entities, but with the dealer in mind for the future. Regarding the TNG brand Mr. Martin commented The TNG product line isnt the same as every other Chinese scooter, the company actually has many components which are unique and will only work on their branded models so it makes sense for us to work with TNG parts to solidify our place in the US market. CMSI currently markets and distributes a broad range of product brands including TNG (Twist n' Go) and PM Tuning Racing Products as well Innovative Soft Storage Solutions. As part of the agreement MRP will be absorbing the parts distribution, PM Tuning USA, and the Soft Storage merchandise while CMSI focuses on the unit sales. Looking forward to 2010 we feel that TNG has a great program for its distributors and dealers which will allow us to expand into a whole new range of dealerships, we also admire the work and effort TNG has made the past 15 years meaning its a brand we want to represent further commented Martin. It is sold and distributed by over 1,000 retail and repair shops nationwide. Going to a tradeshow is very expensive and so a lot of legitimate suppliers do not go because it is hard to make enough money back to make it profitable. What this means is that if a supplier has gone, then it indicates they are financially is a good position (which means they are unlikely to go out of business any time soon). If your supplier is on Alibaba, you can go to their profile and check to see if they have visited any tradeshows. If your supplier is based on Aliexpress, find the brand of the item that you would like to sell and then go to Alibaba to locate the manufacturer. You can then visit the manufacturers profile page to see if they have been to a tradeshow. #2: Avoid using pictures with models If you are working with a Chinese dropshipper on Aliexpress or a Chinese supplier on Alibaba and they have stock photos that use models, we recommend that you don’t use those photos yourself. This is because Chinese suppliers have a history of illegally taking pictures from model’s social media accounts (like stealing the images from Instagram). They can get away with this in China, but in the West the model can contact Facebook/Amazon and get your ad/listing taken down. Avoid using pictures with models so that you don’t infringe on copyright. #3: Check to see if you’re working with a manufacturer, trade company or wholesaler On Alibaba you will usually encounter two types of suppliers: manufacturers and trade companies. A manufacturer is the factory that originally made the item. A trade company is a middle-man between a manufacturer/factory and you. Neither is better than the other, they both have advantages and disadvantages. The advantage with a manufacturer is that you’re going straight to the source and it’s usually cheaper. On the other hand, a trade company usually charges more since they make a commission on the sale, but their reps usually speak better english which makes communication much better (sometimes they can negotiate lower prices than if you were buying straight from the manufacturer as well so it’s good to check even if you are price sensitive). You can check what the company is in their Alibaba profile. On Aliexpress you’ll usually encounter either manufacturers or wholesalers. Manufacturers tend to brand their store their generic label brand (e.g. Transhome) and only sell products under their brands. Wholesalers will usually name their store something less generic (e.g. Mr & Mrs Store) and will sell products from a variety of manufacturers. Wholesalers are sometimes more expensive but they have a wider selection of products. #4: Recap your agreements and contracts in writing If you and your supplier are negotiating a contract or an agreement, make sure that you get your suppliers to recap it and write out the agreement in text. It’s very easy for both cultural and language differences to cause misunderstandings. Ask your suppler to recap each element of your agreement in text (either by email or by sending a copy of your contract in writing). #5 Prioritize products that have multiple manufacturers The profit margins for Chinese manufacturers is very small, because they sell their items so cheaply. That, along with the fact that doing business in China is relatively difficult means that unless a factory is well managed, it can go bankrupt and have to close. If you’re dropshipping an item or private labeling it for Amazon and your supplier goes out of business, then unless you have a backup supplier that manufactures the same item - you will have nothing to sell and your money will dry up. That is why, when choosing between products, it’s good to look for one that has multiple manufacturers and suppliers. Then, on the off-chance your supplier has to close it’s doors, you can switch to a new one - and your business can continue, and you can keep making money.

This allows us to project where our business is at this spring, upsell along the way, and get a pulse on things for spring and summer. Subcontractor definition: A subcontractor is an individual or in many cases a business that signs a contract to perform part or all of the obligations of another's contract. ... The incentive to hire subcontractors is either to reduce costs or to mitigate project risks. So overwhelmingly the most popular question I've been receiving over the last season and even the last few months, was HOW do Mike, Brandon and myself work together. How do we decide who keeps the profit on a job, how we do we hire each other out and not destroy friendships over MONEY. Very simply, in the beginning of the season, we created individual contracts and subcontractor agreements to determine our costs between each of our companies. Although handshakes are cool, it's always good to have formal agreements between friends and companies to help communicate expectations when doing work together. Lamens answer: how do we pay each other? We had an itemized break down on almost every task that could come up during the summer, that we may need to hire each other out for. If I needed Mike to make a 10 yard mulch delivery for me with the F350? XX Rate. If I needed to sub out Mike to mow lawns for me for the day, we had a set rate per hour for him and the rig. If Brandon needed Mike to bring his JD Tractor for a landscape install, we had a set rate for the tractor for the day (or half day). We had everything spelled out in each contract, so we knew what the cost of each person, task, or equipment was going to be. THEN we were able add those costs into the rest of the job costs, ie materials, expertise, hours, labor, DESIRED PROFIT, and then come up with our numbers to present bids on work. I will say this, the reason most friendships and business relationships fail is generally speaking, DUE TO MONEY related discussions. PLEASE, be mature when doing business with friends. Have solid agreements in place so there is NO (or significantly LESS) awkwardness when hiring each other. The last thing you need to do is lose friendships over a few hundred bucks. Take some time, before the craziness of the season, and work out rates between each others companies if you decide to work with friends. You can ALWAYS trade services, labor, etc. But the point of these is to at least have something to fall back on so each party involved can know their costs, know the costs of hiring each other, and keep it simple when tacking jobs all year. Wanted to take a minute and share with you guys my 2018 spring lawn care forms for the upcoming season! I wanted to cover our 2018 lawn inquiry / agreement form, the updates we've made, and also a new cover letter we've included talking about billing change updates. A lot of you guys appreciated me sharing this form last year as it was something we implemented to streamline our business. I found that we were doing way more work some years then what we originally projected, and realized that I never had a serious pulse on the business about what work we could plan to do in the following season. This was a tool I came up with to get a pulse from our customers based on what they were interested in, and what we could expect going into the season. I did modify last years form by adding a new line, where we now offer landscaping/mulch/dethatching. Now we can provide even more services and capture more market share with our current clientele and take things to the next level in 2018.
