SELECT * FROM Students WHERE Name LIKE 'M%' We can use any one of the following 3 SQL Server functions, to achieve exactly the same thing. CHARINDEX LEFT SUBSTRING The following 3 queries retrieve all student rows whose Name starts with letter 'M'. Notice none of the queries are using the LIKE operator. SELECT * FROM Students WHERE CHARINDEX('M',Name) = 1 SELECT * FROM Students WHERE LEFT(Name, 1) = 'M' SELECT * FROM Students WHERE SUBSTRING(Name, 1, 1) = 'M'

Create MySQL Database - MySQL Workbench Tutorial

17:15
We model a MySQL database using a diagram in MySQL workbench. We then forward engineer the diagram to create MySQL database on the server. MySQL workbench is a powerful tool for modeling and creating databases and we take advantage of it's relationship tool to create many to many relationship between our main movie table, and stars, directors and genres tables. I don't go into too much detail on how the relationships work in this video on purpose, I wanted to make a general overview of how MySQL workbench can be used to quickly created the model of a database with relationships between tables. ````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````` Hey guys, I'm now using Patreon to share improved and updated video lesson material. For a small fee you can access all the downloadable files from this lesson (source code, icons & graphics, cheat sheets) and everything else included in the video from the Patreon page. Additionally, you will get access to ALL Clever Techie videos in HD format with no ads. Thank you so much for supporting Clever Techie :) Download this video's files here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/create-mysql-20819048 This download (Patreon unlock) includes: (Scrape IMDB function php source code, workbench movies relational tables sql source code) + ( You also get access to ALL source code and any downloadable content of ALL Clever Techie videos, as well as access to ALL videos in HD 1080p quality format with all video ads removed! ) ````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````` From the video: Let's go ahead and create the database model which will hold all the data now using MySQL Workbench (a free program that you can download here). When you first open the Workbench, create a new connection by clicking on the + icon. I'm going to name my connection localhost and and put "root" for the username. Then press press the storage vault button and enter your password. You can then click on "test the connection" and you should get the message: "successfully made the MySQL connection." At this point, click OK, and then double click on this newly created connection to connect to your MySQL database server. Now go to File---New Model and double click on Add Diagram. This is the part of the program where we're going to be designing our database model. You will see a toolbar on the left side along with all the tools available which we can use to model the database. Go ahead and double-click on the New Table icon which will place a new table in the diagram. When the table shows up on the diagram, double-click on it, the new box will show up at the bottom of the screen where we can rename our table as well as specify all the column names and their appropriate data types. Name this table that we have just created "movies", and then for the very first column, enter "id" which will be the unique identifier for this table. This id will also act as primary key which is going to auto increment so make sure the primary key and auto-increment check boxes are both checked as well as not null (NN). Now let's go ahead and enter the rest of the column names. `````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````` ( Website ) https://clevertechie.com - PHP, JavaScript, Wordpress, CSS, and HTML tutorials in video and text format with cool looking graphics and diagrams. Extract Data based on a drop down list selection in Excel

11:20
In this video tutorial, learn how to extract or filter data in Excel based on a drop down selection. This Excel trick is extremely useful in situations where you have a huge dataset and you want to extract part of it by making a selection. For example, suppose you have the sales transaction records or various products. You can use this technique to select the product item from the drop down list and all the records for that item would get extracted and listed separately. Since this is dynamic, you can change the selection from the drop down, and the results would update. There are three steps in extracting data based on a drop down selection: -- Create a Unique list of items. -- Add a drop down to display these unique items. -- Use helper columns to extract the records for the selected item. It also uses Excel formulas (INDEX, MATCH, ROWS, SMALL) to extract the data based on the drop down selection. It can work for extracting the data on the same or different worksheet in Excel Step-by-step written tutorial and download file: https://trumpexcel.com/extract-data-from-drop-down-list/ -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Find Amazing Online Excel Tips and Tricks: https://trumpexcel.com/ -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Let's Connect: Google+ ► https://plus.google.com/+Trumpexcel Facebook ► https://www.facebook.com/Trumpexcel Twitter ► https://twitter.com/TrumpExcel Pinterest ► https://in.pinterest.com/trumpexcel/ TrumpExcel Channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/trumpexcel

1804ICT-Data Management 7003ICT-Database Management Designing a Database for BigM

00:16
Solution Link: http://libraay.com/downloads/1804ict-data-management-7003ict-database-management-designing-a-database-for-bigm/ BigM now requires a partial implementation of the design made in Assignment Part 1. In order to keep consistency between the assignments, database specification containing the ER diagram and the corresponding schema are provided in this document. You should create your database according to this documentation. Make sure that your implementation is consistent with this design, i.e., your table names, field names, and data types are according to the specifications provided in this document. The implementation phase includes writing SQL statements to create a database and its tables, populating the tables with appropriate test data, and writing a number of queries to create reports that can be used by the management team. You need to insert at least five records in each of the tables and ensure that each of the query returns at least one record. Implementation of the Database and Manipulation of the Data You are required to perform the followings tasks: 1. Task 1: Create a text file named Create_StudentID.sql (for example, Create_s3087654.sql) that will contain SQL statements to: I. Create a database named BigM_StudentID. II. Create all of the tables for the database according to the Database schema given with this document (separately attached). 2. Task 2: Create a text file named Insert_StudentID.sql that will contain SQL statements to: I. Insert at least five records in each of the tables. The test data inserted into the table must ensure that each of the queries, specified in                  Task 3, outputs at least one record. 3. Task 3: Create a text file named Query_StudentId.sql that will contain all the queries to display the following I. List of names and complete postal address of all employees sorted by their salary. II. The date on which the most recent customer order has been made. The customer name and date of the order will be sufficient. III. List of all the store names and their addresses, sorted in dictionary order of the store name. IV. A list of all customers that have not placed an order yet. Displaying customer number and name will be sufficient. V. A list containing the name of employees, which work as accountant. VI. A list containing the total quantity on hand for each product (product number and description) regardless of stores. VII. A list showing each product sold (picked) on or before May 20, 2018. Show product number, name and quantity sold, sorted by                             product number and then quantity sold. VIII. A list of products (show product number, description and price) whose price is less than or equal to the average product price. IX. Increase each employee’s salary by 7.5% and show the updated salary of all employees (name and salary). X. Show the pay information (employee name, hours paid, amount paid) of all employees in the most recent pay date. 4. Task 4: Create a text file named Update_StudentId.sql that will perform the followings. Insert additional data in the tables appropriately if needed. A customer named Daniel Ortega, from 11 Fuller Road, Marsden QLD 4132 and having a mobile number 0431xxx668, orders two shirts of size “XL” of brand “Prada” on 6 Sep 2018. The full order is ready on 8 Sep 2018 for pickup, but the customer picks up on 10 Sep 2018. You should insert data into appropriate tables for the above order and make sure you update the data in the relevant tables after the order is picked up. You are required to adhere to the following output formatting conventions: Any query requiring names of people should be printed as GivenName FamilyName in a column labelled NAME; Any query requiring addresses should be printed as Street, Suburb State Postcode e.g. 123 Anzac Pde, Maroubra NSW 2038 in a column labelled ADDRESS; and All monetary values should be printed with a dollar symbol , two digits after the decimal point.

How to file and register a trademark WITHOUT a lawyer!!!

25:29
http://vondranlegal.com/zip-counsel-affordable-trademark-legal-services/ YES YOU CAN SHARE THIS VIDEO ON YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA NETWORKS. MAKE SURE TO SUBSCRIBE TO OUR POPULAR CHANNEL! WE ARE ALMOST AT 10,000 SUBSCRIBERS!! Attorney Steve® does it again, this time with a helpful video for startup companies and individuals looking to register a federal trademark but who may not have the money to hire an intellectual property or trademark lawyer. This video is general legal information only and NOT legal advice or a substitute for legal advice. Trademark registration can be MUCH MORE COMPLEX than highlighted in this video. It is important to always do a thorough trademark search BEFORE applying for a trademark through the USPTO. Once you file, you cannot get your money back. So make sure there is no one else using your trademark before you apply. You can do this by searching the internet. Search for domain registrations that may be similar. Search on Google. You can Thomson Thomson to run a detailed paid search. You should also try to pick "arbitrary and fanciful" names as opposed to suggestive and descriptive terms. In other words "Nike" or "Xerox" are better names than "Sports Shoes Company" or "Copy Paper Inc." Be creative - think out of the box. Also, keep in mind there are many different things you can get a trademark (for goods) or service mark (for services) for. Examples are: 1. Your company logo 2. A slogan you use in your business 3. Nicknames (ex. "Johnny Football") 4. Your business name These are just a few of the common examples. At any rate, this video should help you understand what lawyers do when filing a trademark. This is the same process companies like LegalZoom do. So in short YOU CAN DO IT without a lawyer if you take time to read the screens, and watch some of their helpful videos the USPTO offers. If you need help and are willing to pay a LOW FLAT RATE FEE - we can help you. We can also help with the following: 1. Trademark name searches (we can help you pick a good mark to build your brand on) 2. Registering trademarks and service marks 3. Responding to office action letters (refusals or denials) from the trademark examiner 4. Cease and desist letters 5. Trademark arbitration, mediation, litigation 6. Domain name disputes For more information, call us at (877) 276-5084 or click on the link at the top of this page to go to our corporate homepage. As we like to say - we are The First Name In Legal Services" Hope you enjoyed this video!! Check out our others. Keep in mind there are RISKS associated with filing your own trademark with the USPTO (such as having to respond to an office action letter, or having your trademark denied when a good search would have prevented the filing), but many people are finding that filing a trademark application (for example to start your own clothing line, or a name of a band, or product name) is not as mysterious as people once thought. ATTORNEY STEVE TIP: Make sure you SEARCH your mark BEFORE you buy a domain name, engage in advertising, name your product etc. There is nothing worse than picking a name that some other company already has or which is "confusingly similar" to their name, This means your trademark will not register. This is the biggest risk of filing for your own trademark. Sometimes it is worth the money to just pay trademark counsel to search and file for your corporate trademark. We can do slogans, logos, and company names. _______________ PLEASE SUPPORT US ON PATREON - OUR GOAL IS TO BE THE LEADING PROVIDER OF LEGAL NEWS AND INFORMATION BUT WE THERE IS NO WAY WE CAN DO IT WITHOUT YOUR SUPPORT. Before choosing your company name; check existing Company names AND existing Trademarks.

03:18
When you register your Company, CIPC would check their database for any existing Companies with the same, or remarkably similar, name. If none turn up, CIPC will grant your Company name. Now the catch is; this company database does not “talk” to the Trademark database where there could be a Trademark registered with the same name in the same “class” of product/service as your Company. This would mean you are infringing on someone else’s rights. Make sure the Company name you choose has not been registered as a Trademark by doing a Trademark Search. If you require some guidance to do "Your own FREE Trademark Search", check out this IP Braai video: https://youtu.be/r9V4hfZvV2I If you require some guidance on “How to Register your own SA Company for under R300!”, check out this IP Braai video: https://youtu.be/CWlYvMCovao If you require any other assistance, feel free to send us an email at: [email protected] Enjoy! Load Data To Tables according to Excel Sheet Names from Excel Files dynamically in SSIS Package-P161

SSIS Tutorial Scenario Load Data To Tables according to Excel Sheet Names from Excel Files dynamically in SSIS Package Let's say you get single or multiple Excel files in one of Source Folder. The Excel file can come with single or multiple sheets. The sheet names will be matching with the tables you have in your Database. You want to create an SSIS Package that should loop through Excel files and then Excel Sheets and load the data to table using Sheet Name as it is equal to Table Name. If in future, you would like to add a new sheet data for existing table. The Package should be able to handle. Same way if you drop the sheet, it should be able to handle the scenario. Here is my sample data. I have two Excel files, each contains two sheets, Product and Customer. Notice that the order of sheets does not matter. As long as the name matches with your Database tables we are good to load. How to Extract Data from a Spreadsheet using VLOOKUP, MATCH and INDEX

15:54
When you need to find and extract a column of data from one table and place it in another, use the VLOOKUP function. This function works in any version of Excel in Windows and Mac, and also in Google Sheets. It allows you to find data in one table using some identifier it has in common with another table. The two tables can be on different sheets or even on different workbooks. There is also an HLOOKUP function, which does the same thing, but with data arranged horizontally, across rows. See the companion tutorial on Tuts+ at https://computers.tutsplus.com/tutorials/how-to-extract-data-from-a-spreadsheet-using-vlookup-match-and-index--cms-20641. By Bob Flisser.
