WooCommerce Refund and Exchange plugin lets the customers get the refund, and exchange the products they purchased. The Refund feature enables customers to get the refund of the products they purchased. The amount easily gets refunded after the approval of the merchant to their account or wallet.
Refund feature of WooCommerce Refund and Exchange plugin can be configured from WooCommerce, Settings, RAE Settings, Refund Products.
In order to enable the customer to send the Refund request, kindly enable it from Refund Product Settings.
After that, you have the option to enable or disable to include Sale Items available for Refund. If you wish to include the taxes along with Refund Refund Request, enable the option "Include Tax with Product Refund Request". Option to include or exclude the Shipping amount from the amount to be refunded can be managed from the options present just below it.
You can show any custom note on Product Page by enabling "Exchange Refund Note on Product Page" and then can add any kind of Note you wish for customers to see before making the Refund Request or any kind of warning.
Now, if you wish to auto-accept the Refund Request made from the customer, enable the option "Enable Auto Accept Product Refund Request" and obviously it will be valid for the certain number of days only. So, If Refund Request submitted within a selected number of days then Refund Request is auto-approved. If the value is 0 or blank then the automatically accept request function will not work. And the minimum number of days can be set from the text field beside "Minimum Number of Days for Auto Accept".
And in order to set the limit to the maximum number of days, such that If the number of days exceeds from the day of the order delivered then Refund Request will not be sent. If the value is 0 or blank then Refund button will not visible at order detail page.
Minimum Order amount on which Refund Request will be applied can be set from the option provided, such that Refund Request can only be sent if and only if the amount is equal or greater than the amount mentioned in text field beside "Minimum Order Amount". And if you wish to restrict some Categories of products to be refunded, can select those categories from "Exclude Categories" section. Check the option "Enable Refund Reason Description" in order to make the description of the reason for Refund mandatory for the customer so that he/ she can continue to the Refund Request.
And one of the most important thing which plays a vital role in the visibility of Refund Request option is the statuses selected under "Select the order status in which the order can be Refunded". If the order status of any particular Customer's order is mentioned under the options chose under this option, then only the Refund option will be available for the customer.
If you want the customer to be able to select the method of Refund amount that whether it will be in Wallet or to be done manually, enable the option "Enable to Select Refund Method to Customer", and Wallet option will only be available if the option for Wallet above it is enabled.
And last, but not the least, the merchant can even initiate the Refund Request from the Backend Order Edit page.
