Full clock kit build and setting guide.
Another of the many eBay clock kits. This one is supposed to have a timekeeping issue which I wanted to investigate. It's a fairly easy kit to build, but would really be best done with a fine tip soldering iron and good quality 60/40 tin/lead solder with a flux core bought from a good local supplier. (not eBay). Note that the timekeeping on this clock is terrible. Probably due to poor decoupling and layout causing induced noise on the RTC (Real Time Clock) circuitry when the unit is powered. The resistors are all 10K so nothing to do with display current limiting. It seems to rely on the output impedance of the microcontroller for that. Without metering them out I'll make a guess that they are for pull up/down for the button inputs, RTC data/clock lines, transistor base and probably part of the thermistor bridge. To program, hold the left button until the display shows Time. Use the right button to step through options, the left button to select one, the right button to increment and finally the left button to exit the settings. Time - set time. Dat - set date. Alar - toggle alarm on and off, and set alarm time. Font - select display font. Disp - choose display style (option 5 is just time). Midp - select style of flashing centre colon. Fmt - Format 24-hour or 12-hour. Brh - Birthday reminder option. Brig - Set brightness of display. To toggle between celcius and farenheit click the right button while the temperature is displayed. I've not found a calibration option for the thermistor yet. If I sound a bit odd it's because I was loaded with the cold when I filmed this. It always happens with seasonal transitions. It's no wonder that in recent years WhatsApp became a huge part of our lives – it's convenient, quick and easy to use. Pretty much everyone has a large WhatsApp contact list and spend hours each day to catch up with their families, friends or plan some events! TIMESTAMPS How to change the font on WhatsApp 0:35 How to change font style on WhatsApp 1:04 Most popular contacts on WhatsApp 1:36 Muting group chats 2:03 How to make personal information private 2:33 Stop auto-saving 3:07 How to add dates to the calendar 3:35 Add a chat link to your home screen 4:01 How to send a message using Siri 4:28 Back your chat messages 4:53 Send a giant beating heart 5:27 Star the messages 5:49 How to secretly read messages 6:20 How to disable previews 7:03 Find out the exact time someone has read your text 7:33 SUMMARY - Just simply put this ` symbol three times before and after your text message! Like this, ` ` ` Hello!` ` `. - For bold messages, you have to put asterisks before and after your message (*Hello!*). You can send italics messages by adding underscores (_Hello!_). And your message can also be transformed to strikethrough by using tildes (~Hello!~). Plus, you can combine these styles by putting two or even all three symbols together (_~*Hello!*~_). - This works only on iOS devices. You can do that by heading to Settings and then picking Account and Storage Usage. You'll see the list of all your WhatsApp contacts and groups as well as the total number of messages you've sent and received for each one of them! - If there is some group chat or a person that's constantly bothering you with endless messages, you can simply mute it. Just pick the chat, click on its name or the name of the contact on top of the screen and select mute. You'll have an option to mute it for 8 hours, a week or even a year! - Go to Settings, then click Account and select Privacy. Here you can control what users will see your profile picture, status and last time you were seen on WhatsApp. - If you're sick and tired of constantly deleting unnecessary photos that your contacts message you, you can turn the auto-saving off. Again, go to Settings, then select Chats and turn off Save Incoming Media. - If you type a certain date in your message, it will appear as a hyperlink. If you tap on it, you'll be given an option to create an event in your calendar. So you can simply plan some adventures with your friends, work meetings or any other important events right from your WhatsApp. - If you're texting somebody pretty much all day or have a favorite chat that you need quick access to, you can easily add a link to it to your home screen. This works for Android devices. All you need to do is tap and hold on a chat and then click on three vertical dots on the top right of your screen and choose Add Conversation Shortcut. - Just say “Hey, Siri, send a WhatsApp to” and name the contact needed. - If you like to read old messages and get nostalgic from time to time, you can always back your history up on iCloud (for iPhone users) or Google Drive (for Android). If you have an iPhone and you want to back up a certain chat, just click on its name, then on the name of the contact and you'll see an option E-mail conversation. - If you want to express your feelings for someone in a whole other dimension, just send a red heart alone without any other emojis or words. You may think it's nothing much, but amazingly enough, it turns into a big beating heart. - For iOS users, there is a simple solution. Just double tap on a message and select the star icon. - When you receive a message don't open it right away and dismiss all the notifications. Then, set your phone on airline mode that will turn your Wi-Fi or Internet connection off. After that just open your app and read the text. - . WhatsApp thought about that and allowed its users to disable those little previews. To do so, you have to go to Settings, click Notifications and there you'll see the option Disable Show Preview. - Hold on any of your messages you're interested in and choose Info. There you'll see the time your message was sent and also the time it was read. Which one of these features did you like the most? Did you know about some of them? 25 Ways to Wear a Scarf in 4.5 Minutes!
:: Behind the Scenes :: http://www.wendyslookbook.com/2011/04/behind-the-scenes-25-ways-to-wear-a-scarf/ The Infinity vs. DIY Infinity =D :: http://wendyslookbook.com The difference is very subtle - the first fold. The Infinity is folded along the diagonal while the DIY Infinity is folded in half, horizontally. The Infinity starts off as a triangle, whereas the DIY Infinity begins as a rectangle. It seems like a trivial difference, but due to the shape, the Infinity fold works best with square scarves whereas the DIY version can be pulled off on thicker longer scarves. Also, because of the different starting shapes, the way the scarves drape are also slightly different. I wanted to include both in case people had trouble with the Infinity fold on their scarves, but due to the speed of the video, the first step was a bit harder to convey :( For scarf tutorial videos on how to tie these styles, please select which box you would like to see at the end. Angular bootstrap select list

Working with a select list in Angular Template Driven forms 2. How to have one of the select list option selected by default 3. How to disable select list Let us understand working with a select element in Angular with a simple example. We want to include "Department" select list. For the HTML used in the demo, please refer to my blog using the link below http://csharp-video-tutorials.blogspot.com/2018/01/angular-bootstrap-select-list.html At the moment, we have hard coded the select list options in the HTML. In our next video we will discuss, how to get the select list options from the component class. Notice each option also has a corresponding value. The value is the department id which is what we want to save in the database table when the form is submitted. We will discuss, saving the data to a database table in a later video. At this point, when we select an option, the corresponding option value is included against the "department" property in the Angular auto-generated form model. Also when we click the "Save" button, the "department" property along with the selected option value is logged to the console in browser developer tools. How to have one of the select list option selected by default If we include "selected" attribute on one of the options of the select list, we expect that option to be selected by default when the form initially loads, but when the form reloads, the respective option will not be selected. If you remove the "ngModel" directive from the select list, then the the option gets selected as expected. In Angular, we use "ngModel" directive for two-way data binding. So the moment we put it back in place the "selected" attribute does not work. To make it work include "department" property in the component class and initialise it with one of the option value which you want to have selected by default. In our case, we want the "IT" option to be selected by default. The "IT option value is "3". So, I have initialised "department" property with a value of '3' department = '3' At this point you will have "IT" option selected by default when the form loads. Now, even if we remove the "selected" attribute from the "IT" option, it is still selected by default when the form loads. This is because of the two-way data binding that we get with "ngModel" directive. How to disable a select list : To disable a select element, use the disabled attribute Another important point to keep in mind. By default, disabled form controls are not included in the Angular auto generated form model. Since, the "department" select element is disabled, it will not be included in the Angular generated form model. In our form, we do not want the select element to be disabled, so please remove the disabled attribute. Also, we do not want any option to be selected by default, so remove the "department" property from the component class. In our next video, we will discuss, how to get the select list options from the component class, instead of having them hard-coded in the HTML.

Show Different Excel Drop Down Lists in Cell
Go to http://www.contextures.com/xlDataVal02.html to get the sample workbook Select an item from an Excel drop down list, and see only the related items in the next drop down list. In this example, select Fruit from the first drop down, and only fruit names appear in the next column's drop down list. Instructor: Debra Dalgleish, Contextures Inc. Get Debra's weekly Excel tips: http://www.contextures.com/signup01 More Excel Tips and Tutorials: http://www.contextures.com/tiptech.html Video Timeline: 00:00 Intro 00:39 Set Up the Worksheets 01:15 One-Word Names 01:41 Create Tables 02:55 Name the List Items 04:15 Main Drop Down List 05:48 Dependent Drop Down Lists 07:39 Get the Sample File Video Transcript (abridged) In this video, you'll see how to create two dropdown lists. The first one, for produce type, fruit or vegetable. In the next column, there's a dependent dropdown list, it will change based on what you selected in the other column. Here it shows a list of vegetables. If I go to next row and select fruit, Column C shows list of fruit. Here's a new workbook where we're going to set up dropdown lists. We've got 2 sheets. One is Data Entry, other one is called Lists. Start a new blank workbook and name the 2 sheets. I typed Produce Type and Item on this sheet, where we're going to create dropdown lists. On the other sheet, I've got 3 lists set up, Produce List with Fruit and Vegetable, and a fruit list, and vegetable list, with 4 vegetables. The produce list is our main list. We have 2 items, and it's important to use a one-word name in this list for each produce type. We'll those names later, and Excel won't allow spaces. Each list will be changed to a formatted Excel table. In the first one, click anywhere in the list. On the Home tab, go to Format as Table, select a format that you like. My list is B2 to B4, and has a header. Click OK, and there's our formatted list. It has a dropdown list in the header cell, to filter or sort, and a corner tab here to change the size of this table. If we add new items, the table automatically expands to include them. We'll do the same thing for the fruit and vegetable list. Click anywhere in this list, Format as Table. Select a color. Again, it has headers. And same for vegetable, green, has header. The next step is name cells with items in each list. Select cells B3 and B4, with produce type names, and to name these 2 cells, click the Name Box. Type a one-word name, Produce, then press Enter, to complete the name. It still shows Table1, but click the arrow to see Produce. Give the fruit list a name, it has to be an exact match for the item in this produce list. Select these 4 cells, click in Name Box, type fruit, press Enter. Upper or lower case doesn't matter, as long as spelling is the same. Now we have a fruit list, do the same here, this will be called Vegetable, press enter. Now we can see all 3 names, Fruit, Produce, and Vegetable, and table names. Next, set up the data entry sheet. I've got headings entered, and I'll create a table from these 2 cells, then add items in rows below. With a heading cell selected, on Home tab, Format as Table, select style you like. Again, my table has headers, OK. It creates a table with one blank row below headings. We'll set up a very simple dropdown in this cell, where we can select a produce types, fruit or vegetable. Go to Data tab, click data validation, on Settings tab, select List. For source, we'll use our produce list. On a Windows computer, press F3 key, to see names you've created. Click Produce, OK, it puts in an = and the name of that range. If you don't have that shortcut, type =produce, click OK. Now we've got a dropdown arrow when this cell is selected, select fruit or vegetable. In this cell, we'll create dropdown that depends on what we selected. If Fruit is selected, it will show fruit list, if we chose Vegetable, we'll only see vegetables. To create this dropdown, on Data tab, click Data Validation. We want a list, and this time, we'll use a formula. Type =. The function we're going to use in this formula is INDIRECT, then click an open bracket. We want to use whatever name has been selected, so type B3, close that bracket. Instead of typing fruit or vegetable, we'll use INDIRECT function to get name that we want to use from cell B3, and create a reference to that list, click OK. It will create a list based on that produce type. Select lemon. Go to next row and type fruit again, it shows fruit list. Change to vegetable, it shows list of vegetables. So this is dependent dropdown list. We create a main dropdown, then a dependent dropdown- items in that list depend on cell we told it to look at. Go to http://www.contextures.com/xlDataVal02.html to get the sample workbook

Every time a web page does more than just sit there and display static information for you to look at , Right from displaying timely content updates, or interactive maps, or animated 2D/3D graphics, or scrolling video jukeboxes, etc. You can bet that JavaScript is probably involved. It is the third layer of the layer cake of standard web technologies, two of which (HTML and CSS). Music: http://www.purple-planet.com

Exam Application Programming Tutorial JavaScript Quiz Online Test
Lesson Code: http://www.developphp.com/video/JavaScript/Exam-Application-Programming-Tutorial-Quiz-Online-Test Learn to create a Quiz, Test or Exam software using JavaScript and HTML. The main objective is to give the user multiple choice questions one at a time in sequence and grade them at the end of the exam. Perfect for school classrooms or educational entities online. The multidimensional array tutorial from yesterday is going to come into play within this application build. You can easily add a timer with setInterval(), and apply all the bells and whistles you need using JavaScript. Storing the questions/answers/options in a secure database that PHP can access, is the most practical way to make sure people do not cheat when you need the test to be secure and cheat proof. Ajax requests would be a big part of that interaction with the server. I discuss securing and externalizing the test data more in the video.

Photoshop 7.0 full tutorial – Bangla (Healing Brush Tool & Brush Tool)
Healing Brush The Healing Brush Tool retouches image using sampled pixels or pattern. To retouch using sampled pixels: 1. In the Toolbox, select the Healing Brush Tool. 2. Set brush size and style. 3. On the Options bar, select the Sampled option. 4. Alt-click (click holding down Alt key somewhere on your image to define a sampling point. 5. Paint with the Healing Brush Tool on the damaged area. 6. The Aligned gadget on the Options bar not selected by default forces the starting point to follow your cursor, even after you complete a stroke, while leaving it off starts the sample point back to its original location at the start of each stroke. To retouch using a pattern: 7. On the Options bar, select the Pattern option. 8. Choose a pattern from the Pattern picker movie. 9. Paint with the Healing Brush Tool on a damaged area. • How to Use the Heal Brush The new Heal Brush is built on the concept and functionality of the Clone tool, in that it paints using sampled data from a user-specified point. Instead of just moving the pixel info from one spot to the other as the Clone tool does, however, the Heal Brush actually blends the two data sets together, blurring information and smoothing the results. The Heal Brush does a great job of eliminating spots and scratches from scanned photographs, and is also superb at touching up blemishes and wrinkles on faces. If you work with portraiture or photo restoration, you'll use this new tool a lot. 1. Open the Image Select File, Open to open the desired image. 2. Select the Heal Brush Tool Select the Heal Brush tool from the toolbox. If necessary, click and hold the Patch tool and select the Heal Brush from the pop-out menu that appears. 3. Set the Tool Parameters In the Options bar for the Heal Brush, set the brush size and blending mode. For the Source, choose either Sampled or a preset Pattern. If you want the source point to move as you move the cursor, enable the Align check box. 4. Set the Sample Point Hold down the Option key Mac users or Alt key Windows users and click to set the source point for the brush. If your goal is to smooth a blemish or scratch, choose a source point that resembles the area you want to repair. 5. Paint the Corrections Position the cursor over the area to be repaired, and click to paint the corrections. Photoshop briefly flashes the sampled data as it is being applied, and then it paints the correction. Brush Tool? What is it? The Brush tool is a basic painting tool. It works like a traditional drawing tool by applying the color using strokes. It's located in the standard Tool Bar and its default shortcut is the letter B. The Brush Tool works by adding a shaped mark on a layer, and if you continue pressing the mouse button or the pen on a tablet, several marks will be added creating a stroke until you release the pressure. The essentials options for the brush tool are: Brush Tip Shape, Blending Mode, Opacity and Flow. You must understand those concepts before moving forward with the advanced settings. Photoshop includes several built-in presets, that are in fact pre-made brushes ready to use. Brush Tip This is the most basic option for any Photoshop User, the Brush Tip settings allow you to modify the way to add colors on a Photoshop document using the Brush Tool. By clicking on the Brush Preset Picker in the default Options Panel you will see several built-in presets. On many of the presets you can easily adjust two very important values: • Master Diameter increases or decreases the size of the brush tip. The default shortcuts to increase or decrease are the Left Bracket key and the Right Bracket key respectively. Photoshop CS4 enables a dynamic way of doing it by Ctrl + Option Mac + Click or Alt + Right Click Win and Drag. • Hardness increases or decreases the brush tip's border strength, 0% means a really soft border (color fades out) and 100% a precise border. The shortcuts to increase or decrease hardness percentage are the Left Bracket key and the Right Bracket key respectively. In CS4 you can dynamically modify this value by Ctrl + Option + Shift Mac + Click or Alt + Shift + Right Click Win and Drag. You can even combine Foreground and Background colors we will see this feature forward. Most of the time the color that is applied by using the brush tip is the Foreground Color. Preset Picker Contextual Menu There are many useful tools at the Brush Preset Picker menu including Create a New Preset, Edit it, and Delete. Then there are some options to display the list of brushes in the Preset Picker panel, below there are several examples of this. Besides, you can easily Manage the Brush list by loading, saving and replacing brushes in the list, or Append one of the existing Brush collections. We will see more about preset creation shortly.

A Color Test That Can Tell Your Mental Age
A lot of the times your brain “feels” way younger or older than you are. That's called mental age. Do you wanna know yours? Lucky for you, Bright Side put together a simple test that will help you figure out if you're a carefree child, an old and wise sage or just exactly as mentally “old” as you are. Just answer our questions, write down your points for every answer, add them all up and get your results! But enough talking, let's begin! If you got 7-12 points, mentally you're just under 20 years old. It doesn't matter what your passport says – you’re a carefree teenager at heart! If you're way older than 20, congratulations – you've managed to carry this constant feeling of enthusiasm and love for life through all these years. Keep shining! If your result is 13–20 points, you are 20–29 years old. You are active, creative, and full of life, but you can already call yourself an adult. Childhood and teenage years are over, but you took the best from them and left all the unnecessary stuff behind. It doesn't mean that you're not having fun though – your life is just as exciting as it was. If all of your points added up to 21–28 points, your mental age is 30–39 years. You’re still active and curious about new things and ideas, but you are already responsible and thoughtful. If you think about it, that's the perfect balance between the children's joy for life and adults' independence. The golden mean at its best! If your total number of points is 29–35, you are 40–49 years old. You're mature and experienced, and you know exactly how to live your life. You have no time for nonsense – you're determined and hardworking. You know what you want and how to get it. Continue to be a true inspiration for everyone around! 36–40 points mean that your mental age is over 50 years. And that's not a bad thing at all! On the contrary, you are wise and calm. You get what life is all about, and you highly appreciate comfort. You're the person everyone goes for advice, plus you can always be trusted. These are some rare qualities today, so your friends must protect you at all costs. So what’s your mental age and how close is it to your real age? Audio spectrum analysis
Our ECE 4760 final project was an audio spectrum analyzer that would display a histogram-style visualization of an audio signal. We were able to successfully display the frequency spectrum content of an audio signal in real-time using a black and white histogram visualization with bins arranged from left to right corresponding to low to high frequency ranges using a system based upon two Atmel Mega1284 microcontrollers. The two microcontrollers handled separate tasks, with one performing the audio data acquisition and processing (hereafter referred to as the FFT MCU) and the other performing the visualization processing and video data transfer (hereafter referred to as the Video MCU). Users are able to select various display options using a set of push buttons including the overall frequency range displayed and the amplitude scale, among others. http://people.ece.cornell.edu/land/courses/ece4760/FinalProjects/f2012/ajw89_bwj8/ajw89_bwj8/index.html
