We flew to Romania with some pocket change, rented a car and saw what the country had to offer. Drove 2000 miles around the country, sleeping rough and exploiting the exchange rate. This short parkour and freerunning film is the result of a week in this relatively undocumented country. Street Food in Pakistan - ULTIMATE 16-HOUR PAKISTANI FOOD Tour in Lahore, Pakistan!

35:23
Thank you to Ali (Pakistan Travel Market): https://goo.gl/VY6NjH SUBSCRIBE for 2 new videos every week: http://bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe T-shirts and caps: https://goo.gl/6WdK1l Also, just published a full Pakistan travel guide: https://goo.gl/5MHgz4 I’m very excited to share this first full street food in Pakistan video with you! We started our trip in Lahore, a vibrant, colorful, and packed full of food city. Our first day in Lahore turned out to be a 16 hour street food marathon in Lahore, and it was an amazing day! Get more details on my Pakistan Travel Guide: https://goo.gl/5MHgz4 Sadiq Halwa Puri (https://goo.gl/maps/Yoy9dJ6steF2) - We began the day with a very common breakfast throughout Pakistan, halwa puri, but along with chana curry (chickpea curry). We ate off the car, enjoying every bit of the freshly fried puris and curry. Total price - 640 PKR ($4.78) Chacha Feeka Lassi (https://goo.gl/maps/RGQBRQaNj8p) - Next we drove over to Gawalmandi, one of the most legendary areas in Lahore for food. We headed straight to a breakfast staple, the lassi shop and had the most creamy heavy milkshake I’ve ever had, called a pera lassi. Roasted chickpeas - 25 PKR ($0.19) - After exiting an alley, right in front of us was a man selling chickpeas and corn roasted in black Himalayan salt. It’s a very common street food snack in Pakistan. Sweet potato - 80 PKR ($0.60) - Sweet potato is also a very common street food snack in Lahore, seasoned with masala and a type of citrus juice. Baba Kulfi Wala - Next we headed over to Shah Alami Market, another huge and bustling market in Lahore. Kulfi - 20 PKR ($0.15) each - One of the most famous places to eat ice cream in Lahore is Baba Kulfi Wala, and you’ll find a crowd of people standing around the corner of the road eating sticks of their famous kulfi. Orange juice - 50 PKR ($0.37) Chana chaat - 120 PKR ($0.89) per plate - One of my personal favorite Pakistani street food snacks of the day was chana chaat, a chickpea snack. He added in all sorts of spices, chutneys, and seasonings, to create a deliciously refreshing snack. Butt Karahi Tikka Restaurant - Easily one of the most well known restaurants in Lahore is Butt Karahi, specializing in curry made in a rounded pan, called a karahi (we will be eating a lot of karahi’s in Pakistan!). We ordered both a mutton karahi and chicken karahi. Both were amazing, filled with spices and butter, but the tenderness of the mutton was the winner. Total price - 5,600 PKR ($41.84) Siddique Fish Corner - You’ll notice that Lahore seems to come alive at night, and street food is everywhere at night. We began the evening with Siddique Fish Corner, one of the best fried fish stalls in Lahore. It was awesome, and so busy. Total price - 400 PKR ($2.99) Khalifa Balochi Sajji - Another Pakistani dish I wanted to try was chicken sajji, a type of hand rotisserie chicken. The atmosphere and cooking method was incredible. Total price - 390 PKR ($2.91) Khan Baba Restaurant - Finally for our last dinner on this 16 hour day of food in Pakistan, we went to one of Ali’s favorite restaurants in Lahore, Khan Baba. The goat chops were impressive as was the korma curry. Again, massive thank you to Ali, from Pakistan Travel Mart for hosting us in Pakistan, taking us around, and organizing everything. I spent the majority of December riding and filming in Southern California with the Volume Bikes team (Thanks Castillo, Mastroni, and Platt) I spent my last couple days in San Diego with family and met up with my good friend and SD resident Bill Malkotsis for a day to ride some good ol' BMX. We rode his college campus and then drove to Downtown San Diego. Good weather, good spots, and good times. Filmed with GoPro and Zhiyun Tech Rider-M Gimbal. Thanks for watching DailyCruise 3. The Ultimate Indonesian Food Day Trip - HUGE Nasi Liwet Feast!

28:14
►Check out my list of 50 incredible Indonesian foods: https://migrationology.com/indonesian-food/ ►Ken's channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtMgyCDsju9EtUf2yBM0aZw During my trip to Jakarta, I mostly remained in the city. But Ken and Gratiana from http://cowokrakus.com/ invited my wife Ying and I to go with them and their family on an Indonesian food trip to Bogor and the surrounding region (about an hour from Jakarta). Our first stop when we drove out of Jakarta and to Bogor was a famous place to eat Bogor style laksa at a restaurant called Laksa Bogor Pak Inin. It was exactly my kind of a restaurant, open air and local, with a wonderful friendly environment. The laksa was unlike any other laksa I’ve ever had, and it was fantastic. Laksa Bogor - 10,000 IDR ($0.72) Next, we stopped at a place called Toge Goreng Pak Abung, which is another legendary Indonesian food stop in Bogor, Indonesia, and they are famous for serving a bean sprout snack. It was definitely a very interesting dish, including a mixture of bean sprouts and fermented soy beans. Toge Goreng - 7,000 IDR ($0.51) Next we drove into the beautiful Indonesian countryside and to the house. After having some Indonesian snacks and refreshing coconut, we then took a hike to go look for honey. The beekeeper was sick on the day we went, so we we’re able to get any honey, but it was still a beautiful hike. The highlight of this Indonesian food trip for me was the Sundanese style Nasi Liwet Botram family feast that we had. All the food was laid out on banana leaves, and we all sat and ate some of the most beautiful and flavorful Indonesian food. It was an incredible culinary experience. We drove back to Bogor and stopped at Warung Nasi Ampera to eat a quick dinner, and because I wanted to try some ikan pepes. The food was alright, but nothing compared to the lunch feast we had eaten! Total price - 103,000 IDR ($7.46) for 3 plates of food Finally, back in Jakarta, we stopped near Manga Besar to have some desserts and to finish of this incredible day of Indonesian food. Sekoteng - 12,000 IDR ($0.87), Wedang Ronde - 12,000 IDR ($0.87) It was an incredible Indonesian food trip to the outskirts of Bogor, and a nice opportunity to get out of Jakarta for the day. A big thank you to Ken, Gratiana, and her family for inviting us to their house country house and for the amazing food. -- KEN: Videos : https://www.youtube.com/c/cowokrakustube Blog: http://cowokrakus.com/ MY WEBSITES: Migrationology.com: http://migrationology.com/ EatingThaiFood.com: http://eatingthaifood.com/ TravelByYing.com: http://travelbyying.com/ Camera I use: https://migrationology.com/travel-resources/ T-shirts: https://migrationology.com/store/ Get e-mail updates: https://migrationology.com/free-updates SOCIAL MEDIA: Snapchat: @migrationology Instagram: https://instagram.com/migrationology Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/migrationology ►Jakarta Travel Guide: https://migrationology.com/travel-guides/jakarta-indonesia/ ►50 of the Best Indonesian Dishes: https://migrationology.com/indonesian-food/ -- Thank you for watching this Indonesian food video!

O'CONNELL STREET DUBLIN, Ireland -Dublin-Ireland- Ireland Trip-Dublin Ireland

03:27
Anyone who has visited Dublin, Ireland, will have walked O'Connell Street - its the main street in the city and has been for many years - claiming its own place in history. Full of locals and tourists - O'Connell Street is often a bus stop for any sightseeing or people looking for a hotel for a weekend in Dublin. Should we refer to O'Connell street as one of the main places that define the trip to Dublin? Actually, whether you are going out for a walk, jumping on the hop-on hop-off bus tour, or else trying to spot out the most famous magnificent places which you should visit in this city, you will end up stumbling upon O'Connell street for being an old famous one where one could enjoy shopping, go for a walk, or even enjoy some of the old statues for the famous figures which are placed there. Before coming to the name O'Connell, this street has gone through two different times and dealt with two different names; it was first referred to as "Drogheda Street" and which was named after Henry Moore, Earl of Drogheda, until it was widened and renamed to "Sackville Street" after Lionel Sackville, first Duke of Dorset, from the late 1700 until 1924. Eventually, the street was called O'Connell in honour of Daniel O'Connell, a nationalist leader of the 19th century and whose statue stands at the lower end of the street facing O'Connell Bridge. The reason why we always consider it an important pin on the map of Dublin which tourists will be following is the location of the street, which is found in the heart of Dublin city, the capital of Ireland, and thus brings all those tourists to it. O'Connell street runs through the centre of the city, O'Connell Bridge, Westmoreland Street, College Green and Dame Street, terminating at City Hall and Dublin Castle and is also situated north the River Liffey; so one would definitely come across these places while being in Dublin. Regardless its location and the different things one could do in this street from shopping to enjoying the nightlife, it is important to mention all the different statues which you will get the chance to come across and see while walking in this street and which come in addition to the famous statue of Daniel O'Connell which stands at the lower end of the street where the O'Connell Bridge is located. From the different statues that you will manage to come across in O'Connell, there is the William Smith O'Brian which was moved to the street in 1929. There is also the Sir John Gray which is carved entirely of white Sicilian marble. Inside this street you will also come across James Larkin which is an expressive bronze statue atop a granite plinth and on which the birth date on Larkin was written incorrectly but was then written in the right way. There is also the Father Theobald Mathew, Charles Stewart Parnell, and Nelson's Pillar. There are also some famous and important buildings situated around O'Connell street, such as St. Mary's Pro Cathedral, the Rotunda Hospital, Trinity college (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qqzjus-0s_E) and the Bank of Ireland. The old O'Connell street is not like the modern one in regards of its wideness and the shops found in it. There were other things done to the place and which are related to removing things and substituting them with others, such as the removal of all the London Plane trees and the installation of over 200 replacement of various species and lots of other things which were done as some kind of trying to correct the wrong things done in the past and turning this street into a more modernized place for people to walk, enjoy their times, and at the same time come across different statues and public art, since the longest public art in the world is found in O'Connell street. There are actually lots of reasons why this street is considered a must when it comes to the different popular places and attractions that one will visit and definitely pass by in Dublin, Northern Ireland. There are different places and landmarks that one will need to visit when it comes to Dublin, the capital city of Ireland, and which are the Dublinia Viking Museum that reveals the history of the vikings and the medieval times (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ntthvOfjIOg), there is also Grafton street which is considered the number one shopping destination in Dublin (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ffe2L4kM7I), as well as going to the Merrion Square and walking across its famous garden where the statue of Oscar Wilde is located (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLVppV6GJfo), and going to the place where the famous statue of Molly Malone is located to know more about the history behind the song as well as take some pictures with it (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0gwBwth8zJY). There are lots and lots of places to visit in Dublin and attractions to come across, do you have a list for them all or not yet? Wondering what to do in Dublin? Add a walk along O'Connell Street into your list, you will probably do it anyway :-)

Pakistani Street Food - GOAT FEET JACUZZI + Tour of Walled City of Lahore, Pakistan!

24:13
SUBSCRIBE for 2 new videos every week: http://bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe T-shirts and caps: https://goo.gl/6WdK1l Huge thank you to Ali (Pakistan Travel Market): https://goo.gl/VY6NjH Pakistan travel guide: https://goo.gl/5MHgz4 This is Day 2 of our trip to Pakistan. In this video we went on a Pakistani street food tour of the Walled City of Lahore, one of the oldest and most fascinating areas of the city. The Walled City is a maze of ancient alley, street food, and markets that never seem to end. It’s one of the best places in Lahore to explore and go on a food tour. Phajja Siri Paye - This restaurant is a must eat when you’re in Lahore, famous for serving a dish called paya - goat trotters stew. Their massive pan, which I believe never stops bubbling or cooking, is packed full of goat feet trotters that slow simmer until fall apart tender. It’s a deliciously thick and meaty Pakistani dish to start your morning. Total price - 1,300 PKR ($9.70) Haleem - During my time in Lahore, haleem was probably the most surprisingly delicious dish I encountered. I honestly didn’t think it was going to be much, but sprinkled with boiling desi ghee, and seasoned with spices and herbs, it was truly incredible - so good I had to have a plate re-full. He wouldn’t charge us, thank you! Wazir Khan Mosque Dahi bhalay - 100 PKR ($0.75) - Next on this street food tour of the Walled City of Lahore, we came across a stall selling dahi bhalay, yogurt marinated lentil puffs. It was delicious and refreshing. Chole bhature - 30 PKR ($0.22) - Next to the dahi bhalay was chole bhature, a dish of stewed chickpeas, seasoned with onions and achar pickle. Fruit chaat - One of the best Pakistani snacks of the day was the fruit chaat, a massive bowl of chopped fruit, seasoned with apricot chutney and pomegranate. A\gain, he wouldn’t charge us, thank you! Dhaba restaurant - Finally to finish this food tour, for a late lunch we went to a local dhaba, a local street side restaurant, that served a mix of Pakistani food. It was here I came across the fastest roti maker I’ve ever seen and we ordered a mix of different curries to share. After a delicious meal, we ended with dude pathi, pure milk tea. Total price - 850 PKR ($6.34) Badshahi Mosque - After our late lunch, we headed over to Lahore Fort and Badshahi Mosque, two of the most significant and historical sites of Lahore. It was an amazing day exploring and eating through Lahore, a city that’s packed culture, history, friendly people, and delicious food. Again, massive thank you to Ali, from Pakistan Travel Mart for hosting us in Pakistan, taking us around, and organizing everything. A Trip Down Market Street, 1906: W/ NEW FOOTAGE!!!

12:18
This is the most complete version of the historic film, "A Trip Down Market Street," combining the best elements of prints from Prelinger Arichives and Library of Congress. (New footage found at 1:40, and 11:35) Background: This film was shot on April 14, 1906, just four days before the San Francisco earthquake and fire, to which the negative was nearly lost. It was produced by moving picture photographers the Miles brothers: Harry, Herbert, Earle and Joe. Harry J. Miles hand-cranked the Bell & Howell camera which was placed on the front of a cablecar during filming on Market Street from 8th, in front of the Miles Studios, to the Ferry building. A few days later the Miles brothers were en route to New York when they heard news of the earthquake. They sent the negative to NY, and returned to San Francisco to discover that their studios were destroyed. The origin of the film was an enigma for many decades, and it was long thought to have been shot in September of 1905, after being dated as such by the Library of Congress based on the state of construction of several buildings. However, in 2009 and 2010, film historian David Kiehn, co-founder of Niles Film Museum in Niles, California, dated the film to the spring of 1906 from automobile registrations and weather records. Kiehn eventually found promotional materials from the film's original release and dated the film to April 14th, 1906, and finally gave credit to the filmmakers, the Miles Brothers. Technical Aspects: Film: Sound mix: Silent Color: B&W Aspect Ratio; 1.33 : 1 Negative Format: 35 mm Printed Format: 35 mm Cinematographic Process: Spherical Camera: Hand-cranked Bell & Howell Video format: HDTV 1080I (1920 x 1080) Pixel Aspect: Square Editing Timebase 29.97 Compressor : H.264 Audio: 28 tracks, stereo. (without panning) Done in early 2014. Restoration: The Prelinger print was transferred from a new 35mm print made from a restored 35mm negative, taken from the 1906-era 35mm print. The original file was 110 gigabytes. This version does not appear to have any digital restoration, except minimal contrast and brightness adjustments. In 2015 footage from the Library of Congress version was added. Post Effects: This version of the film has been digitally stabilized to remove jitter. Resources: Sounddogs, Youtube, Horseless.com, Wikipedia, Archive.org, Streetcar.org, earlyamericalautomobiles.com, Prelinger Archives, Library of Congress. Music: "Crazy Rhythm" played by Brad Kaye. Accuracy: Automobile sounds are all either Ford Model T, or Model A, which came out later, but which have similarly designed engines, and sound quite close to the various cars shown in the film. The horns are slightly inaccurate as mostly bulb horns were used at the time, but were substituted by the far more recognizable electric "oogaa" horns, which came out a couple years later. The streetcar sounds are actual San Francisco streetcars. Doppler effect was used to align the sounds. Produced by: The Miles Brothers Photographed by: Harry J Miles Sound Design by: Mike Upchurch

Street photography with the Olympus Trip 35 film camera

08:19
I recently shot a roll of Kodak Colorplus 200 with my Olympus Trip 35 film camera. Street photography has long been a favourite genre of mine, although as you'll see that tends to lean more towards street portraiture. With it's 40mm f2.8 lens and scale focus system, the Trip 35 probably isn't the best suited camera for this type of photography. The main issue that I ran into was that I was often too close to my subjects and they were out of focus due to the camera's 1m minimum focus distance. Basically I just needed to back off another 50cm or so, but because this was only my second role of film and I hadn't reviewed any of my photos taken with the Trip 35 beforehand, I didn't realise this at the time. Having said that there are still a few images I'm really pleased with. 'Tumeric man' is probably my favourite from the day. As always, thanks to my mate Adam for filming the video. We had a good laugh that morning as I'm sure you can tell. Thanks for watching and stay tuned for the next video, most likely of me sooting some Ilford XP2 black and white film with the Trip 35.

BMX STREET - MERRITT BMX EAST COAST ROAD TRIP

08:53
Starting a new parts brand in 2013 is going to be an uphill battle no matter who you are. When I first heard about Merritt the first thing I thought was "they better get one hell of a team". The truth is that even if your parts are nice and your branding is on point, no brand can succeed unless they have a team that is not only amazing at riding, but also believable; kids aren't stupid and they can usually smell bullshit a mile away. Merritt is a new brand but the owners, Mike Brennan and Sean Curran have a ton of experience in BMX both as riders and in the industry. And they must have been thinking the same thing I was because their team is insane. Even though a couple of their heavy hitters weren't available on this trip (namely Brian Foster and Brad Simms), everyone delivered. A quick rundown: Mike Brennan: Mike's a grown ass man with a wife, kids and a new business but that apparently none of those things have done much to slow him down. At every spot we'd go to Mike would be busy filming second angles and dealing with business on the phone, but then just before we were ready to leave the spot he'd fire out some insane rail move to end the session. That's how the last clip came about as well as a few others. Mike's back was giving him a lot of problems the whole trip but whenever he found something he wanted to do he would tune the pain out and go for it. It was impressive to say the least. I don't know if Mike ever expected to end up in a hot tub with 12 guys, but that's definitely where he ended up by the end of the trip. Justin Care: I always assume that anyone with a Jesus fish tattooed on their body is probably not going to care for me, but Justin was all smiles the whole trip even as he was surrounded by a bunch of beer swilling, pot smoking animals. Justin is a small town boy who keeps quiet most of the time. Apparently he wasn't riding up to his usual standards, which is kind of scary because apparently on a bad day he's still capable of doing pretty much every tailwhip/downside whip/decade grind imaginable. Peter Sawyer: I've never met anyone quite like Pete. Every day he would make me laugh my ass off with the way he would regal waitresses with his English charm. It wasn't so much that he was flirting with them, he just speaks to pretty much anyone in the service industry as if he's known them his whole life and immediately starts repeatedly calling them by their first name. Riding wise, he's just unbelievable. A lot of the techest tricks in this video are things that he pulled first try. Pete is sick. Charlie Crumlish: I've been traveling with Charlie for over a month now so it's hard for me to think of anything specific to this trip to say about him. And given his strict North Korea-esque policy regarding the discussion of his personal life online, I have even less to say. So here are a few sufficiently vague keywords that describe Charlie's trip: Mingles Lounge, Hawaiian Sophie, half cab kinked rail, Gandolph, Grimaldo. Brandon Begin: Prior to this trip, Begin was just "Stevie's friend" to me. But after spending a week straight with him I think I can finally bump him up to the "my friend" level. Stevie convinced Begin that Charlie and I were going to make fun of him the whole trip but it ended up being him doing the bullying, as evidenced by the water he dumps on my head in Instagram Slam 5. I still haven't figured out what I'm going to do to get revenge but don't worry, it'll be good. Street Food in Uzbekistan - 1,500 KG. of RICE PLOV (Pilau) + Market Tour in Tashkent!

31:40
►SUBSCRIBE for 2 new videos per week: http://bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe ►T-shirts and caps available now: https://migrationology.com/store/ Thank you to B. Hamzaev - Head of Marketing and Promotion of Uzbekistan Tourism. Check out Bekruz: https://goo.gl/M14aZW Ravshan’s Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UClLf00Mg3N3g0Wo8_516tUA Uzbekistan Day 1: Tashkent On Day 1 in Uzbekistan we went on an ultimate Uzbek street food tour in Tashkent, including the biggest bazaar in the city, and the most massive plov (rice pilau) cooking in Tashkent. We had arrived at the airport in Tashkent at about 4 am in the morning, and at 9 am we were ready to start eating our way through the city. First we met up with Bekruz and Akbar both from the Ministry of Tourism Uzbekistan (Bekruz is the one who invited me to Uzbekistan and arranged everything for us, so thank you Bekruz!), and Ravshan (check out his channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UClLf00Mg3N3g0Wo8_516tUA), a local food vlogger in Uzbekistan. Two of the most important phrases you should know in Uzbek are: Assalomu Alaykum - Hello / Greeting Rahmat - Thank you Bread Bazaar, Tashkent - We started this ultimate street food tour at the bread bazaar in Tashkent, a market dedicated fully to bread, with a little fruit and other things mixed in. We bought some break, some kaymak, and some fruit and then went to a nearby restaurant where they laid everything on the table for us, along with tea. Uzbek breakfast was a great way to get started. Chorsu Bazaar - The grandest bazaar in Tashkent is Chorus Bazaar, and it’s a perfect place to get a feel of Uzbek culture and food. We first stopped at the food court to try hanum, a type of dumpling filled with potato and somsa. Then we continued to the dome shaped iconic part of the bazaar, filled with fresh meat and spices. It’s one of the coolest market structures anywhere in the world. Plov Center - We kind of had to rush out of Chorsu Bazaar because although they prepare 1,500 Kilos, seriously, of rice plov per day, it only takes 2 - 3 hours before they run out everyday. So we got there, already one of the monster swimming pool pans was finished, but they still had a few others going and serving. Plov is the national dish of Uzbekistan, a food that’s eaten on every and all occasions. For Tashkent plov, it’s pretty heavy on the meat at oil, with rice, chickpeas, and raisins. Also it included, qazi - horsemeat sausage which is a delicacy. It was incredibly delicious, and proper meal experience. Total price - 100,000 UZS ($12.21) Plov is love, remember that when you’re in Uzbekistan. National Food Restaurant - After strolling around for a while in the afternoon, we continued to a National Food restaurant, a laid back family style restaurant that serves all things Uzbek food. Along with a number of dishes, the main dish I was most interested in was the naryn, thin slices of dough mixed with minced meat and horse. It was interesting, and quite good, as were the other dishes. Total price - 110,000 UZS ($13.43) Sultan Suleyman Restaurant - For dinner we went to a bit of a fancy trendy restaurant, and had another platter of food. This time, dough noodle like sheets topped with meat, horse sausage again, and green onions. Total price - 122,000 UZS ($14.90) It was a day of learning, eating, and meeting some amazing people along the way. Thank you for watching this Uzbekistan food tour! The self-acclaimed street king, Erigga, makes clear his stand on Nigerians adapting to the international sound and signing international record deals. DAY TRIP to KAMAKURA & Eating STREET FOOD at KOMACHI STREET

06:57
On one of my last days in Japan I decided to go on a day trip to Kamakura. Kamakura is easily reached by train; it takes about an hour to get there. Kamakura is a nice place to walk around in and it's full of history. You'll find many temples and shrines in the town, can go to the beach if you'd like and in Komachi street you will find a lot of street food. Make sure to see the bronze Buddha, it's very impressive. Also go to Enoshima Island which is a nice island to walk around on. ___________________________________________ Watch the Japan Series: https://bit.ly/2sfw7jw ___________________________________________ Thank you for subscribing to my channel! http://bit.ly/1TjkJaW ___________________________________________ If you want to know more about my life in China, watch my China videos. http://tinyurl.com/yap2w9e3 ___________________________________________ FOLLOW ME ON MY TRAVELS http://goyvon.com https://facebook.com/goyvon https://instagram.com/goyvon
